Experiences - strange dxm trip?

ok, swim had a strange dxm experience...

he took 300 or 350 mg

however he didn't like this last experience(it sucked..)...he usually liked dxm,but used to take a lower dose, in syrup form, and he almost always was vomiting(this time was extracted). he is now worring is the dxm he has is degraded to dxo, which he has read beeing not very pleasant.

describing the experience, it was more psychedelich introspective than euphorically dissociative pleasure.with a lot of body load.

swim usually gets huge pupils after dxm, but this time no(absolutely no change..swim usually takes a look to his pupils to know how much he is high...but this time he was really high...no matter what eyes said!), even if the dose was higher. he also got some mdma like(i think serotonin depletion if that's plausible) side effects during the comedown, such as braindead headache, brain burning, and bruxism.5htp fixed this the next day however(luckily!)
also, i don't know if this is relevant, swim 2 days before this, was experiencing some speed(amphetamine) so the days after was recovering... it could be some brain depletion after speed that made that strange unpleasant dxm esperience?

Most DXM is naturally metabolized by the body into DXO.
Anyway, DXM acts more on the physical feelings and DXO is more in the mind, so that makes sense, I guess. Before jumping to any conclusions, SWIY should try both an extraction at his normal dose and syrup at the dose in question.

Unlike what was hypothesized by many members of the early DXM community, a simple extraction does not convert DXM to dextrorphan (this would require refluxing in HBr or HI). And most DXM is converted into dextrorphan in the gut before even entering the bloodstream, so dextrorphan doesn't play that big of a role here.

Likely a matter of dosage and absorption.
