Medical question. Plz hlp.
OK so swim has been smoking weed for about 4 yrs now, 2 years heavily. Swim has also done various other drugs such as E, coke, shrooms and salvia but all in small amounts and hasnt done any of the others in a while. swim noticed that alot of times when he would smoke, he would get a kind of shakes or tremors, these where never to bothersome but definetly not welcome. Then Swim noticed he could never keep a steady hand and would shake profusely even when he was not high, whats worse it is sometimes so bad that other people notice it and constantly ask if swims. He is not positive but swim believes that his sober shakes came from smoking weed, it is the only thing he can attribute it to. Another thing that makes him think this is that he has not smoked for about 5 dews now, hes been smoking every day for 2 yrs, and his shakes have decreased every day since he quit. So what do yall make of this?
P.S. Sorry for the long winded post and thanks in advance!

Re: Medical question. Plz hlp.
Well, pot is responsible for a decrease in this inhibatory brain transmitter called GABA and causes a few other changes that could cause your shaking. Like you said, you didnt smoke for 5 days now and it went away. I dont know for sure, but I would bet that since it illicits this physical response from you, its probably
A. Not Good
B. And may cause motor ticks/deficits if you keep doing it
Now again. Im not sure. But whatever you do its up to you. See, I would tell you avoid everything and talk to a doctor/neurologist if you can. If your over 18 your doctor cant say anything and its better than worrying. Unless you dont want to. Then the next best thing is to consider abstaining and taking up a hobby. But all and all, shakes illicited from smoking =red flags and probably not good.

Re: Medical question. Plz hlp.
Thank you for your input, and yes swim is planning on seeing a doctor for this. Also something I might ad is that swims sister is a paranoid schizophrenic and swim heard that if you have a family member with this disease that it is much more likely that you could be pr-disposed to it as well. Also swim has a long line of mental depression on his mothers side of the family.

While I wouldnt say a huge increase, I would say an increase. And it also may effect your chances of developing depressiom. Hey good luck man. take care of yourself for real. Staying sober could really help you now so I hope you do, its the respomnsible thing to do

Re: Medical question. Plz hlp.
your tremor is thc related. Or definately could be.
stop smoking, tremor stops. Simple.
Not permanent.
THC and schizophrenia. Definate link! Especially here in australia, where the thc content is considerably higher than say uk where i came from.
Do a google and research if your interested.
Hereditary factor in schizophrenia.
If both parents have schizophrenia, the child has a 1 in 4 chance of developing it.
Whereas no schizo genes is approx 1 in 100, is there a genetic predisposition? shit yeah, you do the math!
But................
good news
Fish oil studies are coming up with some fantastic results in research. A group of people identified as 'at risk of developing schizophrenia' ie, had one psychotic episode, or a prodromal phase of the illness (a gradual decline in functionality found in the year lead up to a episode).
Half the group given fish oil, the other a placebo.
The group that had received the placebo, had 4 times more people go on to develop schiz, than those who had taken the oil.
If your genetically loaded, and your increasing your risk of triggering schizophrenia with drugs, then from a harm minimalisation point of view, id be swallowing fish oil!
