Lettuce opium
Could anyone give my good friend Dr.Frasier Crane any info on this?
Whether its worth him getting etc.. It's cheap and legal so i'd assume its not going to be a wild high but what is it comparable to? Thanks

Re: Lettuce opium
One agrees with above. VERY mild relaxant, in fact SWIM would be hard pressed to notice it. Opium Lettuce contains no opiate alkaloids, it is only called opium lettuce because the leaf structure looks similar to the Opium plant.
Hope this has helped.

a little bit opiate like eh? sounds good. of course swim is assuming it's barely anything like opiates at all but still maybe a little better then the lettuce. anyone else have any experience with calif poppy? oh yeah what about the oriantle poppy? the pods can actually be milked like papa som as the pods can get large pods. they grow all around swims place. are they anything comparable to california or lettuce (either plant matter or sap) ? |

Re: Lettuce opium
If you look over on the e-dot forums, look up moth mullein. There is a lot of posts by me about it. Not much is known about its risks or toxicity though, but I'm still ticking. The other person who has tried it relates it to a green substance, but I think it feels pretty opiatelike.

Re: Lettuce opium
california poppy is a waste of time, it contains some very minor alkaloids and is used in traditional medicine but it has no REAL application.
Hope this has helped

Re: AW: Lettuce opium
swim does not think it matters the dosage because it isnt going to have a effect other then make one drowsy, swim wraps loose herbs in a coffee filter tying with those wire bread wrap things and boils then seeps, wild lettuce swim would try 4 heeping table not tea spoonfuls and go up from there if euphoria is what swiy seeks wild lettuce for sure aint gonna do it chamomile will do the exact same as wild lettuce

AW: Lettuce opium
ok SWIM knows for sure that in large doses it literally fucks you up, unexpectedly, in a negative way, now finding the way between "a little" (which, by the amoun of material might seem a lot) and a lot (which means insane amounts of material) is what SWIM wants

*I say might be because I do not know what types are actually being marketed by the head shops right now but I do know that all types have been in cultivation recently and so can be expected to be out there somewhere. Caution: even moderate doses may be poisonous to pets. Last edited by Cakes; 02-03-2008 at 23:37. |

ok we looked and wiki says that Lactuca scariola and Lactuca altissima are stronger than the usual Lactuca virosa that gets sold. Lactuca sativa and Lactuca canadensis variety elongata are weaker. and most lettuce has it to some degree, even the iceberg type.

sorry for the triple post but i notice y'all are online right now.
I have heard wild lettuce confused with wild dagga/lions tail before; so SWIM should watch for that. There can also be potentiating herbs for wild lettuce; like dagga might do it. There are others and most herbs have them. and some herbs potentiate many others, like dagga does by dilation of the blood vessels. |
