traveling / going through customs

So SWIM is going on a cruise in a couple of hours and just realized right fricken now that he just did a couple of lines off of his laptop and there is probably some remnants on his back pack.

What SWIM wants to know is should he completely wash his back pack and laptop now, or just plain ole change backpacks and leave the laptop at home. How strict / thorough are they about checking these kinda things for debris and such???

Please dont reply if you have "well i think you should" thoughts. I need definite answers or previous experiences.

*Sorry to sound so mean, but id be kinda sad if i couldnt go on the forums anymore because they dont have internet in prison*

Re: traveling / going through customs

It is unlikely that they would do such a thorough search on swiy's laptop and bag. Just make sure that there are no visible signs, like a few white specs etc. Laptop will be fine, the bag, well depends on how much swiy may have spilt on it. Because of the material it could trap some inside which swiy may miss when cleaning. Therefore if swiy has the option of another bag then use it.

To be honest customs would need to perform a close inspection on swiy's items which if they did that to everyone they would never get around to boarding planes and boats as everyone would be stuck in the line waiting to be searched.

Dogs may pick up a scent, but provided there is no visible evidence you will be fine.

Re: traveling / going through customs

This is nothing to worry about. Unless it's a baggy SWIY is safe
