First roll at 50 years old

Swim's dad wants to try MDMA for the first time. Swim wants him to have a truely amazing experience and be safe at the same time. Swim is thinking to let his dad have 1 pill at first and then another one maybe 20-30 minutes after. Swim usually doses himself with 2 at once of the same good quality pills and has very nice results but has a slight tolerance. Does this sound alright? Is there any real chance of a bad reaction from MDMA from taking it at 50 years old(healthy) for the first time?

Look @ Shulgin...I'm sure he took MDMA at around this age and probably continues to do so discreetly today.

If one wants him to be truly safe then he should check into getting pure molly and not ecstasy tablets....if that is not an option one should get a test kit as this will ease the fathers mind.

I would say one tab for a first time is good tho as there is no way to knwo what is in there....if the dad feels nothing after 2 hours then he might think of re-dosing...


Mostly to answer the question, I don't think the health risks from going to a younger person to a healthy 50 year old is going to increase much if at all.

If one can get pure molly that would be ideal, as dosage could be definitively established.

If SWIY's dad wants to try a date with Molly, SWIY is very fortunate and should count SWIYself as lucky... and also should consider writing TRs for Erowid, who are looking for family-related reports (on all substances).

SWIM is hoping to have an MDMA session with his mum over Christmas, if the planets align right. There's always so much garbage in the way when one deals with family, and MDMA is so good at cutting through the garbage. Do report back!

Swim cannot get molly, so it will almost definetly not be 100% pure, but they are some good pills.

Swim will definetly report back after it goes down, but it may not be for a few months thanks to some issues with other family members.

swim recently took MDMA with a friends dad (he is around 48 )last week actually was abit wired as he used to disagree with his son smoking lol.

anyway he took 7 one night and 6 the next. i found him a bit boaring he didnt talk much just sorta sat there and tapped his foot. im sure he had a good time though.

Perhaps a good idea would be to have him first put a very small amount of pill scrapings (barely visible crumbs, or more like just a bit of dust) in his mouth and wash down to try to test for an allergic response, at least 6 hours before actually dosing. Then if he does decide to dose, one pill should be plenty. If it is unsatisfactory, take a month off and try two the next time.

that is the safest way to do it. and i am not suggesting that you dont follow that sound advice
but..
IMO that is not likley to happen by all means give him a few scrapings in the morning before the big event. if it was SWIM he would start small like above

He does not know about other people but me and the most users of MDMA that swim plays with like to roll for extended periods.
give him one and let him make the decesion for the next. allow pleanty of time by starting early and finishing late, maybe consider some 5-htp.

Nearly 2 years after making this thread, it has finally happened. Swim recently came across some very clean MDMA pills(pink stars). These were by far the cleanest pills swim has ever encountered. They felt like pure MDMA. Soon after testing them out on himself swim let his father know and they began planning a day to do this.

Swims father has been an alcoholic for 20 years. He's was always pretty much the stereotypical, angry, closed minded, drunk. He was always very tense, and stressed out. Stuck in his own world of bullshit, is how I would put it. He also thought that since drugs are illegal they must be 10x worse than alcohol. Swims father has another child, a 2 year old boy, who acts as 2 year old's usually do, playing and being pretty reckless. His father yells and curses out the 2 year old and gets really angry over every little thing the kid does. After a while the kid began to hide in fear from his dad(this started about a month ago).

Anyway, swims dad has always been kind of a messed up guy and thats why swim wanted him to take MDMA. To try to show him a new, more positive perspective of life.

Swim sent me this message describing the experience he had with his father, taking MDMA.

I went over to my dad's house with 4 pink stars. His wife was at work and my little brother was there with us.

12:00am - We each take 1 pill. Father is trying to get the kid away from a fan we had going and is scolding him and acting erratic as usual.

1:00 - Both of us are starting to feel effects but not rolling yet. My dad is not liking it at this point.

1:15 - We each take the second pill.

1:30 - I begin to feel that lovely and familiar sensation. My father has a very confused look on his face. He tells me he has never felt this relaxed in his life.

2:00 - This is a very, very mild roll. I would have not waiting this long to take the second one, had a realized how mild it would be. My father's voice became very peaceful. Normally he is anxious and aggressive. We are sitting on the floor listening to house music that I brought with me. My dad is telling me that he feels like a weight has been lifted from his shoulder, and how he cannot believe that it is possible to feel this chilled out and still have his mind intact. He said it feels like some kind of "cleansing of the soul"/

2:15 - My little brother comes out of the other room and goes by the fan again, but does not touch it. He then starts hitting my dad on the back a little bit. Usually my dad would be flipping out right now but instead he is just observing the child. The kid then sits next to us. My dad at this point began having an amazing realization, that he doesn't need to be flipping out over silly little things and that its pointless.

2:30 - We both notice that the child is also acting very relaxed, around us which is unusual. We believe its because we are completely chilled out ourselves, and the negative energy which usually radiates from my father is now gone. My dad realized he needs to start being more calm around the kid.

3:30 - We've been lounging around the apartment talking about life and family stuff. The peak of the roll is gone but we are just very relaxed and open with eachother.

4:00 - My father thanks me and tells me that he feels like I gave him a new chance at life. He had never experienced anything so positive and peaceful in his life. He said that from now on he would try to be more relaxed and be nicer to his 2 year old. He also mentions that drinking alcohol does no good, whereas he felt like he learned something from MDMA. He says that he would like to do this once a year.

4:30 - I leave and my father thanks me again, several times before I get in my car.

2 weeks later- My father has not drank since that day. He told me last night, that he no longer felt the need to drink alcohol since having that experience. He also has been using totally different techniques when dealing with his kid, rather that yelling and being aggressive. His wife has noticed a great change in my father and brought it to his attention. He then explained to her that he had taken MDMA with me, and that it changed his life. It looks like she may also be trying it sometime soon as long as I can get the same pills again.

Swim is very pleased, but at the same time a bit surprised at what a positive life changing effect this had on this father. He could not have wished for more.

Biggest problems I could see would be if swiys father had any known health conditions, particularly heart disease, high bp, or had previously had a stroke. As with younger people, if he has any mental illnesses like depression, severe anxiety, etc., rolling is probably not a good idea. If he's healthy in mind and body things should go fine, provided it's actually MDMA he's taking.

This is why MDMA needs to be controlled in a way that doesn't completely out-right ban its use. If it can cure addiction, it has a positive medical use staring people right in the face. While people shouldn't be allowed to go out and take a bunch or get hooked on them, mild medicinal/recreational use is almost always a positive thing!

Swim has been very prolific in his drug searching, exploring most avenues of most drugs only to come out with the truth that, ecstasy or MDMA is the most wonderful substance ever, it is the single most positive drug ever to be synthesized. MDMA is wonderful and it is a wonder to everyone who experiences it.

Swim cannot express my feelings towards MDMA accurately enough, Swim just hopes that the fact that it is the greatest drug in the history of mankind helps it along. MDMA is SWIMS opinion the path to god, and the funny thing is SWIM is an atheist.
