using a vaporizer with salvia divinorum

I'm curious what experience you guys have had with inhalation of salvia extract using a vaporizer? I'm aware that salvinorin-a requires an extremely hot heat source.. but could a vaporizer get it hot enough to vaporize the salvinorinwithout burning it and defeating the point?

The reason I ask is im interested in alternative forms of ingestion of the substance other then smoking it that can produce the same strong effect. The smoke is harsh as we all know and extremely hot. That combo cant be good for the lungs and it is what i consider salvia's only *major* drawback.
