Hello I’m doing a project on drugs and It’s Amazing what i found out I knew drugs were about but I didn’t realise so many young people actually used them 8% of 15 and 16 year olds have used a Class A drug!! That’sreally is truly amazing ill seach the interne t for half an hour to see what i can to help people find out about Drugs and ill give you the best one bye for now ..........

Ok ive searched the internet for just about half an hour now i have found the best place to find out about drugs and i have to say this is the best by a long shot compared to the others i saw
ive just downloaded it. this is a new tool from www.talktofrank.com It’s called the Frank Bot and you download it to your MSN You can ask it anything about drugs It’s really usefull hope this has helped

OK, firstly you are wished every success with your project.

A few points:

1. Don't believe everything that you read (and certainly not on government websites). Remember it was governments that gave us the original 'Reefer Madness' style output. One word 'propoganda'.
2. The issue of drugs is a VERY emotive one and it is VERY difficult to find any information that is not biased one way or the other.
3. You will be hard pressed to find a better resource than this one. All views are catered for here (although admittedly it is mostly from the viewpoint of 'using') including Law enforcement.
4. Look at both sides of the argument and make up your own mind. There is much rubbish talked by both sides.
5. Take a look at the folowing thread on here that outlines some of the many flaws with TalktoFrank:

6. Take a look at the TRANSFORM website for a good indication of how damn lies and statistics are employed by the propoganda merchants and how easy it is to debunk them (unfortunately debunking them is a political no-go area for most and not newsworthy enough for the press).

I always referred to my peers as young people...

but really do not look to sites funded by governments that demonize the very thing you are trying to obtain information on. Its like asking a catholic priest for sex advice...

I spent nearly 30 minutes one night textually abusing the Frank Bot, I found the bot to be very obstinate and unthinking, a little like the human folks at Frank.

I hope they keep logs of the bot discussions ‘cause they should make interesting reading, LOL.

Heed shroomonger's advice. Without consulting a vast array of sources, keeping in mind that independent studies are more reliable as they have less agenda behind them, tackling the issue of drugs as a whole is not an easy one and you can easily be mislead. Talk To Frank is greatly flawed. There's a thread on this forum that points out its many mistakes. http://erowid.org/, as well as the many sections of this forum, are two good places to start although you may encounter some natural bias in some of the opinion-related material (see my sig). Wikipedia isn't bad either.

This isn't a project I would like to take on having no prior insight to what is a massive issue. It would involve a lot of work if whoever's marking it has high expectations.

Meh, how do they know that statistic, they didn't ask me or any one at my school or any one i know. That's a representation of a random poll taht they did, don't quite believe it, especially since the government is biased against drug use and tends to overexagerate numbers.
