Hydrocodone. It's around 6x more potent than codeine, based on weight.

VI = 6 in roman numerals
Codin = Codeine
VI-Codin= 6x the strength of codeine

(Although in practice Swim feels that 10mg of hydro is far stronger than 60mg of codeine)

Swim definitely believes that hydrocodone is much more powerful than codeine is. Swim has snorted up to 200mg of codeine without feeling the warm feelings swim gets from orally consuming 20mg of hydrocodone. It seems to swim that codeine is by far the worst narcotic available, and shouldn't be taken unless swiy is extremely sensitive to it.

Hydrocodone and Oxycodone are almost the same thing, commonly referred to as "Codones" in medical reference. Hydrocodone was originally synthesized from Codeine and Thebaine and is considered to be "semi-synthetic". Now it is solely synthesized from Thebaine just like Oxycodone is.

Chemically Oxycodone is identical to Hydrocodone with one added Hydroxyl chain (OH).

This is the same reason Pharmaceutical Labs are funding breeding programs to produce a mainly Thebaine producing strain of P. Somniferum. The "Codones" are fast becoming the "opiate of choice" in the medical industry because the original thought was that it would produce less abuse and more of it can be made for cheaper since the Thebaine alkaloid is produced in higher quantities than either Codeine or Morphine alkaloids in Papaver Somniferum (Opium Poppy). For this reason Hydrocodone is no longer really related to codeine because it is no longer even derived from it.

SWIM thinks hydrocodone is more potent but SWIM likes the comfortable high that codeine gives or oxycodone. Hydrocodone makes SWIM a little nauseous while oxy and codeine do not at all. Although I still like them all.

Hydrocodone is more potent than Codeine mg for mg. The same with Oxycodone. Peoples preference for any of the above will depend on how it reacts to their system.

For example: For some people Codeine is quite strong. For others its a walk in the park. Some people can take it and some cant. same goes with Morphine. the "Codones" were developed to try and combat the percentage of the masses whom cannot take other opiates. Some people may have an adverse reaction to either morphine or Codeine but are able to take Oxycodone or Hydrocodone. Other people have a bad reaction to all opiates for some reason, either allergy or another reason. That is why tramadol and other "non-opiate-opiates" were developed, for the very same reason.

All in all it is whatever one is comfortable with. Some love Codeine, others think its a waste of time as compared to OxyCodone or Morphine or DiacetylMorphine. It is really a personal preference thing.

ISWIMSHO Oxycodone or hydrocodone are both far better than Codeine.

I agree with the post above, everyone reacts different. That being said hydrocodone is stronger and thought to have a greater euphoric affect. It is the most abused narcotic in america.

SWIM's personal preference says that oxycodone in any mg compared to hydrocodone is much stronger and also gets SWIM much smoother, Higher BUZZ.....

It all depends on your liver. It is very obvious that swim has high 2D6 activity, judging from effects of DXM , Tramadol, and Codeine. To him 60-90mg of codeine is much better for recreation and analgesia, than 15-20mg of hydrocodone. He is kind of an anomaly since he's white though. Also, it's a lot easier to get a scrip of codeine. He needs it for legitimate purposes, but his doctor definitely likes it if he requests codeine most of the time. Also makes it easier to get oxycodone or anything else down the line if the doc trusts you. I also agree with Addy hydro doesn't sit as well as oxy or codeine for swim.

off topic my pet iguana tried his very first time CWE on hydrocodone apap, and it was 7 of the 5/500(keep in mind first time) but very high tolerance to opiates.. Was slow to come on, but when it did My iguana was more than happy with the results

No arguments from SWIM that oxycodone is the best thing that he can obtain easily. It's just harder to obtain than hydro or codeine.

Where my pet iguana lives Vicodin is the most easily precribed he could say.. You have to work your way up the narcotic food chain to get the better stuff(as always)

Also, oxycodone, my pet iguana has said that it is also harder to obtain others ways as well. But when it is.. it is a beautiful thing.. Swim has performed 2 CWE on vicodin 5/500 tonight.. First dose was 7 of them, second dose about 4 1/2 hours later was 8 of them.. Swim is getting better at it he thinks, and cannot wait until he can get some percoset to CWE.. very excited about that..
