MDMA Smoking?

Has anyone tried smoking/inhaling the vapours of MDMA? Is it even possible? What was it like? How was it different to other routes of administration?

My friend has never looked into it before, but has some recollection that it's not worth it. His quick Google search found:

if you have any sort of residue left from a shitty wash on the cristal you just vapourize that and inhail some nasty shit

smoking freebase MDMA is an absolute waste of good MDMA

if you crush a pill into a blunt then you'll be smoking all the other shit it in the pill, it's called a pill for a reason, to swallow
