GBL = Aching legs
Swim experiences aching legs when he has GBL, also swim can't even feel 1.5ml now and has only been using it 2 weeks.
Swim is taking 1.5ml then dosing again 1ml just to get effects. |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
SWIM has felt sometimes aching legs when lying down, usually on a high dose of GHB, it's a mild pain similar to that you get when you sit in a bad position for a long time, it never worried SWIM too much.
As for the dose, some tolerance is expected to occur, a break of a few days is a good idea, SWIM never uses it more than 3 days in a row, he somehow gets tired of it after 2 days using it. |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
some seem to get reactions like this, tell SWIY to consider converting to ghb, it seems to cause things like this less...

Re: GBL = Aching legs
it reminds swim of a mild opiate withdrawl. Can last the next day too!

Re: GBL = Aching legs
swim can confirm this is alot worse with GBL rather than GHB, but it still happens on GHB. The other day after GBL swim hap pain again just like an opiate withdrawl

Re: GBL = Aching legs
Just want to say that SWIM always get these aching legs from GBL too. But have also noticed the same pain when he highdose diazepam(valium). Pain that has something to do with gaba receptors??

Re: GBL = Aching legs
If someone would reply to this asap i would be really grateful.
I've just spent the entire night kept awake due to pretty severe pain in my legs that gets a lot worse when lying down. It started about three days ago and felt like i had stretched the tendons from my hips down to my thighs, although i hadn't done any strenuous exercise at the time. I have been using gbl quite a lot over the last six months (about 300ml since january) but over the last few week or so i had cut down a bit, altough i did have 1.5ml on saturday morning and another 0.75ml last night (to try and help knock me out over the pain). Is there any chance this is caused by the gbl, even though the pain is there without the gbl and doesn't seem to get any worse with it? |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
Firstly I am sure you didn't mean that you had been taking GBL, You meant that SWIM (Someone Who Isn't Me) has been taking GBL right? Please read the rules regarding self-incrimination, yes GBL is currently legal in the UK but it is very illegal in lots of other places this forum is used (the big fat U.S. of A. for the most part of course).
With regards to SWIY's (Someone Who Isn't You) concerns, has he been dosing repeatedly and continuously or is he simply have one or two doses in any 24 hour period? Please post his usual dosing habits. |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
Not continuous. He was dosing maybe 3-4 evenings a week but often re-dosing on those evenings. As he said he used about 300ml in 4 months, but was never at the point of 24/7 dosing or even dosing every evening.
Sorry about the last post that was actually swim writing it as he was pretty desperate |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
Whilst it is unlikely to be as a result of his GBL ingestion per se, it is possible and has been reported in medical literature for a user to fall asleep so deeply in one particular position because they have dosed themselves too heavily and thus the body does not adjust its sleeping position to correct the posture. If it started the day after using GBL then this could be the reason. It should resolve itself through light exercise and mobility.
Otherwise pain that radiates down the legs from the hip can often be as a result of a swollen disc in the lower back. It presses on the nerves running down the spine and can cause a great deal of discomfort or pain. Interestingly enough, a little light walking (not on a gradient) can often ease it considerably, if only temporarily. To resolve this problem long term one needs to strengthen their core muscles (stomach and lower back) in order to support the spine better. You'd be best to consult a medical professional in this instance for pain management and advice. |

Re: GBL = Aching legs
Thanks for the help MrG! Sent swim off for a walk and sure enough the pain has gone down considerably. He reckons he should be able to get some sleep at least now.
Thanks a lot! |
