What is HPPD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halluci...ption_disorder
Back when SWIM started doing drugs again because of his depression, for some reason, Diphenhydramine was the choice. After some time, SWIM was amazed of the halos this drug caused on him; while looking at lights in the night, every particle of energy glowed so powerful on his eyes; the traffic lights, the street lights, at house, the video, the modem, the router lights, every light looked so wonderful. SWIM remembers the reflect of the sun on those shiny new cars! those created the best halos SWIM has ever seen. As a side and important note, this effects were not persistant so SWIM is not having them at this moment, they went off after some one or two weeks of stop doing the drug; came back again when did Diphenhydramine again, went off after some weeks, and so on. Anyone seemed to enjoy this too? Last edited by delphinen; 25-11-2007 at 18:45. |

Re: Does anyone found interesting the minor HPPD that Diphenhydramine causes?
Swim knows exactly what swiy is talking about.Thats the thing about diphenhydramine, the experience has so many negatives yet the few positives can be so intense one just keeps coming back for more.Diphenhydramine is not a drug with many fans nice to see some exist. It does make the colors and sounds of the world interesting, and swim also notices it sometimes brings up feelings of nostalgia and old memories.

On Swim's most significant DPHN experience he experienced floating light orbs. Overall the whole experience was best forgotten.

Yeah the experiences can be amazing, but the body side effects seem untolerble sometimes to SWIM. He doesn't even think his body can handle it anymore.

Diphenhydramine teaches us that everything is made up of positives and negatives, this becomes completely clear to swim when he has a diphenhydramine experience.

Re: Does anyone found interesting the minor HPPD that Diphenhydramine causes?
Only one of -around 30?- SWIM's Diphenhydramine trips were negative: that night when SWIM was starting doing DXM, and tried mixing both drugs, DXM and Diphenhydramine. SWIMs remember taking like 200mg of Diphenhydramine along with 100 or 150mg of DXM; some hours ago he was totally paranoid of having a stroke because he couldnt stop feeling his heart racing. He also was entering the dreamlike phase, so he began "praying" his friends. It was really weird. The pain went away as SWIM relaxed, and he sweared to never do drugs again ^^
SWIM has mixed DXM with Diphenhydramine later times without problem, so he thinks that all the pain of the bad trip was psychological. For those who doesnt know, Diphenhydramine made me stop cutting myself. Just like that. There arent a lot of explanations and other causes that I could say, helped me back then. It made SWIM see his life with another colors, literally. At night, it made his loneliness and melancholy go numb. It made music sound awesome and different. It helped him to sleep. Sleeping was, at last, a nice time of the day, something SWIM could enjoy in some way, until simply falling sleep. Since childhood SWIM had trouble getting asleep. SWIM will always love Diphenhydramine no matter what opioid or psychodelic chemical fall onto SWIM's hands; also, SWIM will always loves the fact most people hate or underrate this drug, they are just ignorants... hey, even Dr House likes Diphenhydramine too! (he sniffens a line of Diphenhydramine in some episode of season 2) |

Swim has had abit of a love/hate relationship with diphenhydramine. If one uses it too frequently it starts to cause some permanent and rather unpleasant changes. Thus swim had to end his little affair with diphenhydramine. It can make one see the world in a very interesting way.Swim remembers being at this college orientation on it and he saw these outlines of light enveloping almost everyone there and swim theorized he was seeing their auras or their inner lights. For some reason this made swim very emotional.

Re: Does anyone found interesting the minor HPPD that Diphenhydramine causes?
The truth is lots of people under-place the diphenhydramine experience. It really has made SWIM have some of the most intense experiences of his life. But yes, SWIM agrees doing it too often can cause weird changes in your vision. SWIM has for a while now had pretty mild HPPD with lots of light tracers and some morphing of walls when he stares for more than 3 seconds or so. SWIM has also had really emotional experiences with diphenhydramine, SWIM would suggest looking in a mirror if SWIY takes diphenhydramine.

Looking in a mirror was one of the scarier parts of one of my dragon's diphenhydramine trips. He found it incredibly difficult to recognize that the man in the mirror was actually his reflection, and not some strange man mimicking everything he did.

Swim has noticed this to,swim has looked in the mirror and expected his face to warp into some horrible, ghoul like creature, and it almost seemed on the verge of doing it.Ah diphenhydramine beauty and horror.
