Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Howdy
Swim would like to know if tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is a mid to long-term side-effect of N20 because he has recently noticed his ears ringing at night. T |

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Swiy uses it infrequently. About 2 months ago he was using about 15 chargers per week for a few weeks, now he averages about 2 chargers per week. He has always taken a B12 supplement when he uses Nitrous though.

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Well B12 deficiency is the only thing I can think of that would cause it in relation to nitrous. Unless for some strange reason the n2o was causing an extended change in swiy's middle ear pressure?? Thats highly unlikely as I'm sure any pressure change would wear off in a matter of minutes after use. Maybe swiy is going deaf in his old age! My Ferret "suffers" from Tinnitus from playing in a loud band without ear protection!

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
SWIM gets short-term ringing in the ears almost every time after doing N2O. It wears off after an hour or so though.
I've always assumed that this is due to the N2O coming out of the blood into the middle-ear cavity and increasing the pressure. My logic says that N2O will come out of solution into any body cavity until the partial pressure of the gas equalises. As the N2O is cleared from the blood through the lungs, the partial pressure will drop, and the pressure in the middle ear will decrease again. |

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Actually, as it turns out Swim just had a middle ear infection. Pretty funny that he should jump to the wrong conclusion like that. LOL

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Please note you may want to research what swim is about to say but swim has read that one would have to inhale large quantities of nitrous on a daily basis to induce vitamin b12 deficiency, also tinnitus can be caused by so many things these days, one being the said ear infection, swim has had tinnitus for many years, well before any nitrous or other chemiclas were eve near swims body.
Of course it is always wide to take your vits if swiy deems their diets are not up to scratch! Swim always take vits on 'special' weekends that involve indulgance. |

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
If swim is planning or using NO2 frequently; theyd avoid problems by preloading with time release B12, Methionine, folic acid, and a standard multi vitamin, ALSO, depending on quantity and frequency of use, its important to continue this for a few weeks AFTERWARD. extra niacin and b6, is a good idea.

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
I've always had this, even before I did any kind of drugs.
I've just started using n2o, so I can't report any side effects - yet. |

Re: Possible N20 side effect: Tinnitus
Swim actually got this for a few minutes after coming off NO2. It subsided suddenly. It was his first time doing nitrous.
