Re: Is the end near for Meth?

is it a bad thing that meth is less available?? has it done more good than bad in the world?
there is no end to a drug once it's invented, it simply becomes more difficult to get ahold of.

Re: Is the end near for Meth?

No, the end isn't near for meth.
In many places, the quality has been shit lately.
SWIM heard an unofficial rumor that the coffee's back on.
"It's coming back around," my source stated, then proved it. (Referring to a large area of the US and the meth available as of a week ago)

After a 4 month shit spell folks are spinning!

SWIM knows the pain discussed in this thread.

Re: Is the end near for Meth?

Meth is definitely not dead around here (NW Arkansas/SW Missouri area)...maybe a little more scarce than it used to be, but still readily available. Thousands of people out here tweakers, a lot of them cops. Swim himself does not indulge in the pleasures of the crystal anymore, but supposes those that are having a hard time should just take a road trip to Missouri. If you get busted, you can probably cut the cop in to save your ass some jail time. Yay!

Wink Re: Is the end near for Meth?

Lord Worm, (is that a "landed" title?)
No. No clue whatsoever. Ok. So I was loaded and working from memory which isn't so hot and maybe never was... Let me do this the easy way. A few beers and I forget about the internet's fact checkers. I was talking "out of my ass as they say too perhaps. Sorry about that. You guys got a good health plan?

You know the term "Right dope"? It means more than "Correct". You know what enantiomers are? Well Swim still sees the results of cookers trying to use "those inhalers" to make product from time to time which was maybe lost to Pilsner Urquell. (I guess they were Benzadrine at one time? Easier!) I suppose you could still get wired off them if you were so inclined. They are still methamphetamine sort of. When enough people forget someone tries it again and gets paid at least once before people look for answers or get wise. It really makes beautiful crystal I must say and maybe some people like it I dunno. I guess you can resolve this (chemically) to some degree but generally if it tastes minty it's left-handed shit. OK? If you need more technical answers I won't risk getting singed because you're a senior professor somewhere and I make an error, and maybe some others will get what I was trying to say too or learn something accidentally, so I'll include Wiki links since I read them and they look accurate. I really mean no insult to you it was me in error. I do not know what you do and I find most don't know what I do so it's difficult to describe these things to a mixed audience I'm sure you'll agree. Basically with the easy precursors like E and Pseudoephedrine getting harder to find people are moving to other possibilities off which there are many. Probably too many to really effectively stop fortunately but at times it seems they make progress. Prices rising is usually the tipoff. Some things in chemistry are easy part-for-part substitutions and some aren't. Funny how a lot of people cooking aren't chemists and get their recipes... From books I guess. Only thing is some people write books that are either wrong or they just lie like me. You've read Uncle Fester's writeup on a catalytic hydrogenation using palladium (theres another name for this method. ...I forget) No lefty's in that whatsoever from what I understand. I'd like to hear some confirmation that the actual setup UF described works before I invest in palladium but it is a scientifically known method used for other things using Rhodium and is done with trace amounts of palladium on carbon granules. My local 7-11 was out of palladium ingots unfortunately.

The more common methods today favor d-Meth but there are still ways to screw stuff up yes? I believe that using inhalers will work if the resolution is done before the synthesis.
P2P made more racemic stuff? That's ok I guess if truly so. If you say so. We were discussing reasons for things getting weird right? Probably it was weird after P2P was banned too. Hell a couple years ago you could go to a health food store and buy Ephredrine. I tell you the pigs would ban matches and purified water if they could. All this talk ofer kids cold medicine is about meth if SWIM knows how to read between lines. The only reason they don't ban pseudo is because it has a medical use they can't legislate out of being, was released OTC long ago and people remember, There also aren't better decongestants. Schedule 1 requires that things have no medical use to be included. Oxycontin is still sch 3 I think and heroin is sch1. They are both dope and they will both make you a junkie right quick if you string. So with meth I guess then sinister is good and dextro is bad? 180 degrees in just a few years. That's how fast history can be rewritten. a couple thousand years philosophy turns around in a a mere few in drug war USA? Caveo qui muto!
You ever work with automated synthesis equipment? (This little dream makes me feel like the DEA version of Dr Evil). There's only a few ingredients and you can buy 280 mg packs of pseudo at Walgreen's, maybe per day even. It would be staggeringly easy to build an automated "Mr Meth" using the original HI RP, or Birch, or palladium cat recipes with the latter the best if effective. Just drop in a handfull of precursor tablets and push the button. Unleash that upon the world and let the DEA and coffee lobby be damned! Somebody'd shoot me sure. (Probably Juan Valdez). I wonder if I could get a retired doper baseball player for an ad? Barry!!
Bottom line on the "End of meth". Bad stuff is bad for business. Bad products make people mad. If your drug doesn't do what it's supposed to do (or kills people) you won't have repeat customers and likely your business is history. Same for legal products and illegal ones but without the FDA though prison is a common theme. Sell crap SWIM's and SWIY's don't buy. I want fresh breath I'll get some toothpaste or maybe mouthwash. Mixing menthol and intoxicants just ain't the thing (remembering "Cool mint" Cisco. Yecch!)
I will look into the biotransformation thing. Makes me think of Mark McGwire and androstenedione. Never thought that would blow up so big. Brewer's yeast? I thought to get loaded with that you needed malted barley and hops? You don't have to eat it do you? I hope it's not like the San Pedro cactus thing we tried as kids. That was gross! Slimy too. Worked though. Better recipes are out there. I don't like Vegemite but Aussies might really love this angle.

Anybody remember "chicken crank"? Why crank is called "crank"? They're related and it's funny and has nothing to do with motorcycle engines like I read in a paper once. Aren't you glad it isn't "Human crank". Or isn't it? there's some "side effects" that seem similar in some ways. MDMA is conducive to ummm "reproductory behavior" right?... We don't exactly lay eggs but. ...Maybe it is human crank after all.

The end is not near. Nearer perhaps but greed is a recurring part of these dreams and "value returned for value given" is not the creed of the greedy.

Re: Is the end near for Meth?

ok ok since u took a while to write this i will take a min to write this
no that is not a landed title...SWILW has had a little experince with this and he can veryfy that i will work with a little effort
this is somthing alot of the posters on here are not willing to take
its all about learning from ur mistakes.
shit u talk about enatomiters
Huh
u mean the D and the L ismoer
lets not forget the DL isomer..........................

hhhahah u said that cooker are trying to use inhalers
hahahah that shit is too funny to the worm
all that shit is
its nothing but L methamphetamine
which is nearly next to useless
it is 1/7th the streght of D meth............

taste has nothing to do with it SWILW has seen meth from black to silver
taste is usaly a factor in the way the RXN went

there are no better decongestants than sudo
trust me
what does festers rxn has to do with a HI reduction of E
the palladium hydrogenation is another rxn all in its self
alittle harder to out more expericnce dreamers

read some chem articles and festers articles are comfirmed
by reading the american journal of chemistry

now the worm isnt exatly the smartersr guy ever but he knows how to make meth from toluene
if one would just look
he would find the awnser

just llook
