Does Charlie tell the truth??
SWIM is very curious. SWIM has been around many people in the past few years who have taken to powder. In this time, SWIM finds people the classic talkative that everyone says is par for the course. However, SWIM is curious to know, since SWIM has never used it-do people "open up" and speak their truth while on it? I know that the saying "truth comes with wine" can be used when people have been drinking-does being high on coke do the same for SWIY?
SWIM knows someone who dated a man who was very different while on cocaine than off, and wondered if they were more honest about feelings and emotions while using than when coming down. What is some SWIY's experiences? They say "she don't lie....." true? |

Re: Does Charlie tell the truth??
SWIM would say that a user does "open up" in a sense, but they are not necessarily more honest. Someone high on cocaine can be very manipulative actually. He becomes very aware of his own feelings but its not the empathy associated with MDMA, it's easy to be deceptive while high. It's a huge confidence booster, if anything, it's going to make someone a smooth talker.

Re: Does Charlie tell the truth??
SWIM thinks that people may be a little bit more open.. But he also thinks people can be like this on any drug. They give you a sense of well being, usually when people are happy they are a little bit more prone to open up about things.

Re: Does Charlie tell the truth??
Alcohol may well make people say things that they honestly feel, or at least amplify those feelings enough to prompt a drunk to blurt out something they may otherwise keep to themselves.
Coke, on the other hand, as Ikku said, can make even the most regular of people become manipulative and crafty. The deeper a user is in to his or her habit, the worse they usually are. In fact the only honest thing they are likely to talk about is how dirty they want their sex. Yayo can be a very very selfish drug which usually leads to fiending and nasty backstabbing amongst so-called friends. |

Re: Does Charlie tell the truth??
I agree with MrG. Truth drugs are mostly drugs, which the user give the feeling it doesn't care too much what he is saying. My cat has the feeling, he can say things easy without repercussions on alcohol. This also means my cat starts to make his stories more fantastic.
With cocaine the story is different. Combine the perceived feeling of self-control with his new-really-cares-about-himself personality plus the less important role of emotions and my cat is really picky about what to say and especially what not. Sometimes things can be honest, but it is honesty with a reason. Quite different from the reasonless babbling of alcohol. Of course, his goal is dirty sex with the Labrador of the neighbors, that is the same as on alcohol. |

Re: Does Charlie tell the truth??
i agree cocaine has always made swia more sinister, much more of a bitch, along side and more sex manic. In others who are excessive users they lose it often only live by themselves and anything that can get them more cocaine will be seriously sought after.
she only used it with sex with her partner. although she stopped after a group of close friends in there final coke addled years left one of there own during a seizure whom ultimately died of cardiac arrest, Swia was told they helped themselves to her mirror and left her. Her mother was never the same again. After swia other friends found out those supposed friends never were seen again.. |

Interesting. That is the perspective that I got from these peeps-especially SWIM's bf. I know that when SWIM drinks, there can be remorse the next day for things said, emails sent or text messages LOL.....so if SWIY comes down, is there guilt or remorse for being so manipulative and full of it? Also SWIM wonders about the "memory" aspect.....alcohol can definatly cloud the memory. Can coke do the same? That is often an excuse SWIM hears-"I forgot". |
