Drug info - adrenal chrome

the popular movies such as "clockwork orange" and "fear and loathing in las vegas" made the drug adrenal chrome famous.
but i have yet to have any light shed on this drug
it seams from what little info i found it has to do with the oxidization of epenphrin. for one is this true and two there is a supplie of adrenal tissue in my area, would any one think of being able to sithizise adrenal chrome from this ill have more info on what this adrenal tissue exactly is later in time

It's spelled "adrenochrome". The intense effects shown in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are a myth though.

Interest in adrenochrome as a deliberately administered psychoactive is largely a persisting myth popularized by Hunter S. Thompson's writing. The oral ingestion of a vial by the main character of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is not substantiated by published research or reports, which usually refer to the endogenous metabolite.

A search for "adrenochrome" on DF picks up a few threads with some more info.

what i would wonder is weather or not synthesis of adrenochrome could be attained by the oxidation of bovine adrenal tissue and how would some one go about mimic the in vivo enviroment?
