Oral use - First time: ketamine dosage, consumption

Well, my friend got some Ketamine papers in powder form some weeks ago which was told to snort. No matter how hard she tried, she couldnt snort it, it burned like hell. She have snorted Cocaine, Ritalin and Midazolam before without too much problem, although it burned. This made she think the Ketamine was strongly cutted with another drug, so she googled around to find if Ketamine should burn if taken nasally or not. She got ambiguous responses, some folks said it burns like hell, while other people say it doesnt burn at all, so finally, she decided to take it orally, because it will be her first time with this drug and she doesnt know how to IM (although she have IVed opiates before); how much powder should she drink, and which drink should she use to take it orally?

SWIM finds the ketamine snort very pleasant, nothing compared to an MDMA snort/burn/drip.

Anyway, SWIM hasn't ingested orally, but SWIM presumes it would be the same as if you were to put MDMA in a drink?
If SWIM was to do it, he would cut a line out, however big you want, eyeball an inch long line perhaps if its a first time (swiy will need to re dose if she wants a good trip) and cut it up, then put it in a small amount of water, and down it.
SWIM has done this with a crushed pill/mdma and you get a quicker comeup, wouldn't say it was stronger if anything a bit weaker, so maybe allow a bit more than you usually would put in.

Anyway, this is all just what SWIM WOULD do, he hasn't tried it for all SWIM knows ket might get ruined in water or something.

So SWIY will need to use more and won't have a similar effect.

As far as my friend is aware, Ket is rarely cut with adulterants, although of course, being white powder, it can be. My friend advises a testing kit, or Mandelin Reagent.

According to Erowid (oral ketamine dosage):
Threshold: 40-50 mg
Light: 50-100 mg
Common: 75-300 mg
Strong: 200-450 mg
The K hole: 500+ mg

I would add that oral ketamine can be potentiated by grapefruit juice, because the latter inhibits the enzyme which metabolizes ketamine to norketamine.

well, just to let you know, she managed to snort a whole paper of K powder (around 100-250mg I would say), in small doses, digesting it with a drink.
Felt no effect at all, except a strong depression (*very strong*) that lasted all night until she managed to sleep with benzos. She felt no body dissociation nor CEVs.
Had a chat with her dealer about this later, which acted angry at her disbelieving her, so... whatever.
Oh, btw, I forgot to mention it, she said to her the stuff made her nose bleed a little (which is true).

Make sure it's just racked up VERY finely. Put the K on your surface, place a piece of paper over it and scratch over it using a credit card or lighter or whatever. It is very crystally looking? Like, sparkely? This might mean the dealer has not cooked it enough.

Either way, most people SWIM knows finds K the harshest thing to snort, it's just how it is. Bloody noses are common between SWIM's friends.

...does everyone get k cut with glass or something, snorting k is close to no feeling...SWIM enjoys it. For pain the worst SWIM has snorted is 2cb or 2ce...pretty intense pain for about 5 mins.

SWIM has found a wee bit of a burn to K, but really not much, He'd hazard it was the least painful of the painful things he's stuck up his schnoz... That being said, he mentions that it does cause a strange discomfort, kinda like his nose was cold or sore, but not... Hard to explain. He's never had blood, but he hasn't actually gone through anything that could be called a binge yet, only the occasional lines or bumps. SWIM has snorted everything, from ritalin, coke, 2c-i, dpt, md(m)a, etc... and all of those are more painful, except the second line of coke, that one's easy. The drip is horrible with k, burns with that weird cold feeling at the back of your throat, and tastes horrible, but again, seems to be one of the better ones out there. For the record, nothing hurts like 2c-i, and no drip sucks like dpt, if the person snorting it has snorted other stuff, they shouldn't be having such problems, sounds like it may be adulterated, especially with the fact that 250mg did nothing... be wary, and look for another source, one you can trust, and one you can trust to only buy from trusted sources themselves, it's very important to have a trusted supply chain.
