Combinations - Is Kava and Kratom safe and enjoyable to mix

Hello, SWIM was wondering if anyone has ever mixed these to drugs. If it is safe, is it enjoyable? If anyone has tried what doses of both did SWIY ingest and how?

It's safe to mix them but not in excess. An excess of both would make anyone very nauseous and give a monster hangover.Stay well below your usual doses of either and you should be OK. My cat says that he rarely takes them together, but more often takes kava kava in the evening after taking kratom for energy during the day.

SWIM has tried mixing the two - the results were not particularly worth writing home about - for one, they kind of balance eachother out - so the sedation zone from the kava is interrupted by the energy from the kratom, plus SWIM overdid the kratom once with what should have been a normal dose - and was pretty sick to his stomach for a few hours. Nothing terrible - neither of these substances are overwhelming on their own, so the sum of their parts doesn't really overwhelm either.

SWIM thinks SWIY is better off enjoying them individually - or with other more complimentary mixers.

Swim too enjoys taking Kava-Kava later in the day a few hours after taking Kratom but has not tried both at once.

Two great tastes that taste great together. SWIM frequently takes kava after kratom but sometimes does both at the same time. The problem is that kratom mostly overwhelms kava, but the latter does take the edge off of the 'speedy' effects of kratom. Certainly no problems with the combo so far for SWIM.

Anything in particular worth mentioning about this combination?

Kava mostly takes the edge off of the stimulant effect and may enhance some of the disinhibitive qualities of kratom (ie-become more chatty, social, etc). It does not contribute a great deal to kratom's euphoric side; any euphoric aspect of the kava is overwhelmed. Then again, SWIM does not find any form of kava particularly euphoric. It works only as a mild anxiolytic and mild sedative for SWIM, even at strong doses. Perhaps to those more sensitized to the root's effects would be able to better assess any synergy. Certainly seems to be safe though.
SWIM mostly takes it to calm the jittery feeling SWIM sometimes gets after kratom too late at night. It has also been helpful with some axiety SWIM once got from too much kratom at once.
