Refridgeration of Poppy Pod Tea

Swim recently tried poppy pod tea and was very suprised by the effects. being a heroin addict who has just been clean for 2 month after 2 years of daily use, he didnt think some poppy pod tea was going to do much for him but boy was he wrong. Anyway to cut to the question can poppy pod tea be refridgerated over night for use the next morning? or will this effect potency some how? also shouldnt the water hes steeping the pod material in not be boiling(as most preperation methods suggest) but kept at below 80 degrees celsius as this is the temperatue at which morphine is destroyed?

Re: Refridgeration of Poppy Pod Tea

grandma dries her pods out crushes them then mixes them with almost boiled water and allows them to soak for a day or 2 then consumes.refrigerating even for a week has not been a problem in her experience.

Re: Refridgeration of Poppy Pod Tea

All of SWIY's assumptions are correct. If one doesnt allow any boiling or bubbling to occur while steeping (O can handle temperatures of over 80c for a very short period of time, during this short period of time the opiate loss would be negligible but for more than about 30 seconds it can be totally destructive).

Poppy tea should keep in the refrigerator for an indefinite amount of time, so kept for consumption the next morning would not be a problem (One may want to stir it up a bit first though in case settling has occurred).

SWIM hasn't worked much with poppy tea as such (I.E: never consumed the liquid) but uses the same solution regularly for making cooked O. He has never had a problem with the storage of the solution in liquid form. In fact, almost all opiate companies trade in this manner as poppy farmers are paid by alkaloid content in a set solution of water rather than p/a or p/h of poppies harvested. That same solution is then often shipped a great distance and more than likely over a number of days with no degradation.

Hope this has in some way helped.
