I need answers.

It's been almost three years since doc took swim off adderall and he has been miserable since. He has ADHD and chronic IBS-C which causes chronic fatigue. Ever since he was taken off he has been miserable (swim rarely abused script). Swim dont even want it to get high its like his muscles are weak and the Adderall strengenths them and connects his mind with his body. swim has tried everything. Alternative medications, dealing with anxiety that could possibly cause this, trying other hobbies, nothing works. swim is depressed but he is not the type that wants to sit around and whine which is what he is kinda doing now but the point is he feels like swim needs something to connect his mind and body together and stimulate them in a non-abusive way. are there any non-narcotic adhd medications that work like adderall? cause swims tried a lot of them and none of them work. swim cant see old doc anymore because he is booked and swim is considered a "new patient" again because of this. btw.... there are otheres that will protest to this too.. the adderall clears up his ibs-c aswell. its just fixes him and he dont know why. he doesnt feel addicted to the high.

its crazy. all these swims get drugs prescribed they just abuse and swim just wants to take them right and cant get them. docs wont give it to swim because, swim thinks, they only want to prescribe it to younger kids so "weight is lifted off mommy shoulders."

what should i do? any suggestions? swim is miserable every day he cannot get this adhd/chronic fatigue fixed and it is NOT just depression and anxiety causing this. he has tried damn hard.

It can take a while for SWIY's dopamine receptors to get back to normal, as there is evidence that use of amphetamines/cocaine and other drugs acting centrally on dopamine receptors can cause a 'lack out activity' up there, long after use.

I'm not sure if they cause permanent damage though, and I'm sure it something SWIY will get over.

Try to use a descriptive thread title it really helps when people come to answer SWIY's question.

how so? i come looking for answers. if someone in the same situation could tell me the best way to approach a doctor that worked for them it would help a lot.

It should be something along the lines of "Post-Amphetamine Use"
