Re: water soulubility of mixed amphetamines?
Adderall is a blend of amphetamine salts (two sulfates, one saccharate, and one aspartate), formed from the neutralization of amphetamine (a base) with respective acids (sulfuric acid, saccharic acid, and aspartic acid). And aren't all salts water-soluble? Wait, no...that IS wrong...
Well, SWIM will think about it this way. Adderall is considered to have a pKa of 9.8, which means in water of pH 7 98% will be ionized and so 98% of it will be ionized and hydrophilic (therefore water-soluble). SWIM can't figure beyond this...no info available it seems on the web...
