Sex with poppers is great! One little sniff and you start fucking like a monkey! I´m not sure it is the best for getting it up, as I´ve had times where it caused me to loose an erection when I have sniffed too much, but small doses really do the trick for me during sex. I don't think there is much deference with the names, tried quite a few of them and experience the same thing.


Just dont use poppers regulary if your on a stimulant e.g coke!, swim was stupid enough to do so, and ended up with his heart poundingnon stop(even after the drugs) an it hurt like hell! He tried to sleep it off but it hurt to much to sleep

I have heard lots of gays use poppers because it loosens the muscles if you know what I mean! In the book Hannibal, I think the guy who cut his face all up wat fucked up on poppers and him and Lector were about to have sex. I think poppers in in Fear and Loating too, I think they were the amyl nitrate kinds.

The best way to use poppers that I know of is to dab some onto a wad of tissue and put the tissue into a thin plastic bag (small/medium food storage bags work very well and they are very cheap) and huff it from the bag.

Don't overdo it, you may only need 5 or 6 drags in total. It's a shame poppers are so short-lasting, you can't "top up" on poppers because after about 10 minutes you become desensitized and you only get a fraction of high.

I've never used poppers for more than about 10 minutes but I wonder if the effect can come back later; like if you were to stop for 20 minutes would the effectiveness of the poppers go back to 100%? Probably not but it would be fun if they did.

Tip: open a window when you're done, you'll need the fresh air!

Some words of caution from Alf:

"I was researching poppers early this year and I was quite surprised to find out they are actually much safer than it is commonly believed. In fact it looks like there are only few serious contraindications for using poppers:

- hypotension (nitrites temporarily lower blood pressure due to vasodilation)
- glaucoma (they increase intraocular pressure)
- pregnancy

However, there are some other precautions to take while inhaling poppers:

- they mix so nicely with alcohol but they are not safe to mix with it due to possibility of severe hypotension
- due to increased stress on cardiovascular system they should not be used while standing or moving around, hence doing them during gigs or while dancing in clubs is not a particularly good idea; just sit down or lay down, then safely inhale

Maybe I'm too cautious but I think it can be safely assumed they generally should not be mixed with other psychoactives, especially the ones that mess with cardiovascular system, not only with substances causing hypotension (CNS depressants). I would discourage mixing them with stimulants too, especially if swiy has any pre-existing heart condition. (Strokes and heart attacks don't combine well with poppers either.) Nitrites cause vasodilation, i.e they relax smooth muscles, also around blood vessels, causing blood pressure to drop and this results in increased heart rate. I'm not a doctor but I would suppose that even though vasodilation may be good for countering vasoconstriction caused by stimulants (or other substances, Morning Glories for example), increased heart rate is not desirable when it's increased already or when swiy heart is not in a good shape.

I agree with Sushi, poppers have a big affect on your blood pressure and heart rate so I wouldn't mix them with another drug unless I was absolutely positively certain it was safe to so.
