Combinations - Klonopin (Clonazepam) and Zanaflex (Tizanidine)

SWIM was wondering if it is safe to mix Klonopin and ZANAflex (Tizanidine) SWIM has been suffering from back pain as well as anxiety and was rently prescribed both (one for the morning and one for the evening. SWIM was wondering what a good dosage/mixture of the two would be safe to take and whether or not this combo would produce favorable (recreational effects). In short terms, are they safe to take together and what is a good recreational dose for a quiet evening weekend?

Now Wikipedia doesn't say anything about tizanidine if it depresses the central nervous system, if it does, than it cannot be safely mixed with clonazepam. Tizanidine seems to be pretty heavy stuff, so I advice you not to play around with it, have look here for more info.

zanaflex sucks its a muscle relaxers as you know it never relieved my pain when i had it just made me really tired, but than i got klonopin and it works way better for pain atleast i think so

I said pharmaceutical names always have to be included in the post above yours, so don't just use brand names, but include drugs names as well.

Swim is currently on both. He has been taking 1mg of Clonazepam 2x a day and 2mg of Tizanidine 3x a day. There are no noticable side effects from the combo except tiredness and even that is mild most of the time. Swim has been doing the opiate nod during lectures from time to time. The feeling of his head flying toward his desk is enough to wake him up for the moment.. Swim has also mixed this combo with excessive amounts of weed and a few beers. Swim feel asleep pretty quick after lying down but if this didnt hurt swim, he would say that the two are a pretty safe combo.

Tizanidine is an adrenergic agonist. Specifically on the α-2 receptor site. It isnt a depressant at all. The only really troublesome side effect of the drug( like all adrenegic agonist) is the deleriant possibility.

Swim wife did take them for her MS, but dr. switched her from Zanaflex to Skelaxin.

Swim heard that Skelaxin were completely worthless. This includes for treating the symptoms that they are prescribed for as well as trying them for any recreational use.
