ecstasy overdose... still feeling the negative from that.
i used to use x almost everyday, nonstop. my idea of not having a bad comedown was not having one at all, basically.
i went to rehab for a month for various things... bars, opiates, coke, to name a few more.
i got out of rehab (was forced to go by my mom... i was 17 at the time) and was made to go to AA. my friend and i used to go to meetings rolling and tell stories of how we wanted to better ourselves (of course, being on x, you feel more in touch with everyone else, so it made sense at the time... even though that was kind of bad considering the people there that wanted to get better... so i kind of feel bad for that.)
i guess that's a bit of background info, but yea... on to the main point.
i overdosed on ecstasy in august of 06, less than a month out of rehab. i honestly don't remember taking that much. i had bought 8, sold 2. they were meth-based. i remember taking 2, but i don't remember taking the other 4, and i wasn't very well hydrated, plus i wasn't used to taking THAT much at a time anymore. i was hospitalized, and they said my potassium levels had gotten so low that i was really close to going into cardiac arrest.
after i got out of the hospital, i had panic attacks all the time, and the symptoms of that felt like the symptoms of ODing.
sometimes they'd just come on randomly, but whenever i'd massage the back of my neck, i'd start to get them to.
i mix up my words and spelling a lot now. i'm really slow. a lot of that has subsided because it's been about a year, but i'm still having some problems and i'm wondering if this is normal of someone who has ODed on x.
if i work out or exert too much energy, i get this numb feeling in my head. it's really uncomfortable and my head feels detached from the rest of my body. i also black out and get overly dizzy. it'd be one thing if i was working out and running an extreme amount without much of a rest/water break, but this is like after 5 minutes of just barely exerting myself. i've always been active, but i've had to cut down significantly because of this. i understand that panic attacks are psychological, and over time they have dramatically decreased, so i'm not wondering if that is normal.
but this head thing just doesn't seem right.
does anyone else have any similar experiences? is this normal at all? i'm thinking about going to the doctor (a little overdue, probably, but better late than never, right?) over it because it's gotten so bad.
