Other ADHD Medications

SWIM was wondering if anyone has heard of a medicine prescribed for ADHD called "Strattera"? SWIM has the ability to obtain this and is curious whether or not it is pretty much the same or if it is either dangerous or won't work as well.

SWIM doesn't really know much about the drug because SWIM has always refused to take the drug for his ADHD, but he would be interested in taking them for recreational purposes if they were both safe in larger doses and equally as effective as Ritalin/Adderall.

Any advice/recommendations are welcome!

Strattera(atomoxetine) is relatively new medication for the treatment of ADD/ADHD. It is not abusable like Ritalin(methylphenidate) or dextro-amphetamine. I was offered this by my doctor as well yesterday, but refused it, due to a friend of mine, gaving a hypotensive crisis because of it.

Is it possible he took too much himself and that's what brought it on? Or that it was actually due to some sort of allergic reaction?

He took the dosage as prescribed by a specialist, so I'm pretty certain it had more to do with the strattera than him, he's a member here on drugs-forum as well, send a PM to mopsie, he might be able to give you more information about strattera.

for getting high in swim's opinion, adderall is your best bet. Swim loved his old perscription. always be careful.

strattera is absolutely terrible and swim has never heard of anyone getting any positive medical or recreational results from it. she guesses that someone somewhere must get something out of it though, because its still around.
it makes swim fall asleep.
ick.
