tank sourcing?

Hi,

Newbie here,

I just looked through the n2o forums and i couldnt find anything to help me.


(quite confused by all of your SWIM SWIY stuff tbh.)

all i really wanted to know was is there anyone that knows what is needed/ where to source tanks of food/medical grade nos.

I've heard in the US they require a licence to purchase this stuff in any great bulk, but i cant find any good inforamtion regarding legislation in the UK.

Cant be bothered with chargers, im having a party and i have a lot of cream to whip

Most distributers in the U.S. require a license to take hold of this stuff, which is usually only supplied to medical personnel and major food vendors.. What is needed is a license..

By the way, you may want to take a look at the rules.. We do not encourage illegal behavior so find a new way of addressing ones self ( SWIM someone who isn't me )..

i didnt make it clear, im in the UK, i just wondered if it was the same in the UK as in the US.

Nobody can tell you anything about a particular source/supplier, because this would be against the rules.

Food grade nitrous oxide is not sold in tanks. Only medical nitrous is. And medical nitrous is pretty much impossible to obtain by a private individual, just about anywhere.

SWIM has found a source after about 2 yesrs of scouring then net, in the uk that will fill tanks with catering grade nitrous, because they infact only sell medical grade, but to medical, catering and automotive customers. SWIM has aquired a tank on outright sale (many places rent them) and will be testing out his source before christmas, SWIYs can be sure SWIM will post back his results. any blagging advice anyone may have or usefull cream making knowladge SWIM would welcome. SWIM will not eveal this source as it is against the rules so dont ask, but is glad he will hopfully one day have a usefull contribution to the sources forum.

Important info any SWIM in the UK wishing to get nitrous by the bottle/tank, is the difference between DOT and pie marked bottles, If there is not already info on the site about it SWIM will write up somthing.

Food grade nitrous is starting to get tanks, Swim heard that a coffee shop had a smallish tank for it's cream. The word rocket on the side. So one might be able to obtain one for making their cream with.

Upon researching rocket seems to be for sure nitrous oxide with tanks starting from 2 litres to 5 litres and a big tank of 7KG.
