Many say that a digital scale is incapable of measuring things
like coke because that its powder.

Is this true or would
a digital scale be
fine & accurate
at scaling blow?

A good digital scale is the perfect thing for measuring sniff.
Not a kitchen scale though a proper one made for purpose that you can buy online and on the high street headshops.

no digital scales are best for weighing,the only problem is alot only go down to 1/2 (.5)of a gram.but what else would you weigh it with?id hope not hand scales,because those are way too inaccurate to use on something as $$$ as coke.

no i meant that alot of digitals(unless one invests in a nice expensive scale)only weigh down to .5 IMHO around the half gram point scales get a lil bit inaccurate.but higher then .5-.8 a digi should be more then fine.

getting above is 300 g x 0.1g!

So it measures down to 0.1

Thats accurate correct,
0.1 is 100 mg.

Swims friend in Amsterdam had a thousand of a gram accuracy scale he weights a single pill (e) with it so he could multiply them and sell them. He paid 400 Guilders for it about 200 dollars swim thinks. Oh and he is in prison for xtc production.

swim has purchased 3 digital scales on an a&ction site. each of these scales were 100g x .01g. precision down to .01g (compared to .1g or .5g) is very convenient for measuring powder-like substances such as cocaine. swim would also like to add that he never paid more than $20 for these scales including shipping. each one would have cost him over $100 at a local headshop.

swim would recommend sending the scale to an address where he will not be using the scale, as he is paranoid about the electronic paper trail with his name attached.

SWIM has seen a thoudsandth of a gram scale, and was testing it out with chalk powder (Don't ask...). It's was incredibly accurate (Obviously), but I reckon it was very, very expensive.

SWIM has one -, must have paid for theirselves atleast 20 times+ always with the same excuse from the dealers "Oh my batteries must be low" or " I let my friend do it"

Swim recommends go for the 0.05, Swim also said the one he's got doesn't like 0.1-0.2 as it does not seems to recognize it and has to add it to the scales in larger amounts 0.3 upwards.

Everyone should have them especially has swim has recieved 0.6g when it's suppose to 1g

swim has often witnessed scales being used for the the very purpose as to short people a specific amount-swim has shady friends but suspects this is very common.

I've heard so many people talk about how scales cant measure cocaine accurately because it's a powder and whatnot. Total bullshit; gravity affects everything the same way.

I'd say a dealer interested in ripping people off might claim that a digital scales won't measure powder right, but it's not like powder is lighter, it's the same amount of material whether in a block or powder.

It's always good to invest in scales to make sure SWIY is not getting ripped and they can be found very cheaply off auction sites.. However don't be too quick to accuse someone of ripping you off. Where SWIM sometimes lives 0.7 is the norm (although i think that's crap) 0.8 is good, 0.9 is 'mate's rates' and 1.0 is only gotten via wholesale people. However 1/8 1/4 1/2 a full should all be bang on especially the later - often this is why a bulk price can seem not very discounted but in actually you're getting actual grams not 3.5 0.8gs or something. SWIM has found in the big competitive cities it is really not acceptable to give anything under a full 1.0g, so be weary if you move from a smaller area.

SWIM would advise 0.01g accuracy for powders as 0.1 may not register an increase or decrease if stuff is taken or added a little at a time instead of one whole lump.

SWIM recommends a card placed on top of the scale then an /\/\ shaped folded card placed on top and the powder put in the centre crease for ease of transport and spillage avoidance. And please, make sure you get some calibration equipment with them. In SWIMs experience also be weary of people who weigh out in front of you but do it in the bag... it's very easy to get conned this way if they don't tare it or tare it with a slightly heavier weight first.
