missed shot?

swim just tried IVing some hydromorphone for the first time and completely missed....now the spot is all red and stings...what did swim do!?

yea i tried to pull blood put accidentaly injected a bit and pulled out fast

^^Im thinking they must not have thought to do that, or hit a capillary and saw lil blood and assumed maybe? Swim has no experience w/ injections but has read about it.

Everything is hypothetical here and directed at no-one, nobody on this site should assume than anything anyone posts here is their own experience.

I think swiy will be fine...prolly a lil red bump on their skin for a few days.

Misses are just a part of everyday IV use for swim (mostly because his veins are all eaten out and he has to go for really small ones now). It is a pain in the ass, and it will probably make that part of your body go numb for a few hours, but it's harmless. Some people (idiots) actually do this on purpose. It's called skin popping.

And when IVing, always make sure you register (pull back blood) and do NOT let the needle move any (go in further, slip out etc.) This can be rather hard when using one hand, so maybe swiy should IV in his foot or leg or something, where he can use both hands.
