Preparing Hydromorph Contin for Injection

I've been using Dilaudid for some time.. but have recently come across capsules labeled Hydromorph Contin 24mg, they are caps filled with little white pellets and I'm unsure how to prep them for injection, anyone have any idea how to get them ready? Your help is much appreciated

take a small portion of the pellets, crush them and add them to water to see if it dissolves or gels up. If it dissolves, swiy is good to go. If it turns to gel, IV is not possible.

Also, 24mg is quite a lot. 4-8mg is usually a good dose for the opiate-intollerant.

Is SWIY shure they aren't Palladone capsules? Palladone XR comes in various strengths, 4/8/12/24/36 mg, and are gelcapsules filled with beads. They have to be crushed up very well to get all the hydromorphone into solution. Ow, and take it easy with them, they can kill...

They actually say Hydromorph Contin on the outside... they turned out to be water soluble, it was just a fucking pain to prepare them.

Yeah, they were decent, 2 blasts from one cap was pretty good.

that seems like a pretty high dose of hydromorph.
