Oral use - Sublingual Ingestion of Ground Morning Glory Seeds

If my squirrel ground up morning glory seeds in a blender, and then put the powder between his gums and lips (like tobacco) for (say) 10 minutes and then spat it out, would he feel any effect?

Squirrelly tried consuming them many times in various ways but that never works. Eating them whole (unprocessed) results in his making a b-line straight for the toilet, and the whole processing method (with naptha and everclear) has little to no effect (just a slight buzz).
