lsd - worth it?
swim is wondering about lsd recently. swim wants to know some things:
20-25mcg - is it worth doing this much? does age really matter? does body weight matter? is it worth the risk of having a bad trip? could 20-25mcg still give someone a bad trip? swim realizes lsd and it's effects are far more complex than anyone can describe and swim knows people have described it as a "life changing" experience. can 1 small dose of lsd change your life for the worse? for the good? swim knows if swim wants to do lsd swim should do it in a relaxed, comfortable environment with friends, swiy who isn't doing it and with good music. any help appreciated by swim. |

Re: lsd - worth it?
For the final question I'm pretty sure you could find at least 20 threads in this forum alone that answer it. I won't, since I'm not entirely sure, and don't want to mislead you.
Does age matter? Yes. Sadly enough swiy is 16 and the required age for these forums are 18 So I think you won't be around here for long. But I think 16 is a good solid age to start experimenting with psychedelics, it's when swim started and he turned out fine. If swiy is actually 12 and lied about his age and put 16... swiy should wait a while. Does body weight matter? Yes. As with any drug (or even food for that matter), the effect of it will always be affected by your weight... but not drastically. Now. Bad trips are a two-edged blade from swim's point of view. Luckily swim has never had a bad one, only "less laughy, more thinky" ones, and in those cases swim just had negative thoughts. A bad trip however can be a positive experience... it's true you'll be scared out of your mind, but when the ordeal is over, you can look back and find some interesting shit. However, I wouldn't intentionally cause a bad trip ![]() "1 small dose" of lsd can change your life for the good or better, it's how you look upon it that matters. This'll sound blunt but uhh... LSD is overrated. I don't mean it in a shunting way, just it's actually not that scary of an experience, good or bad. Mixed up here ._. hope swim helped. |

Re: lsd - worth it?
Much already covered by Humanity, although I would hesitate to say that 16 is a "good solid age" to start experimenting.
Some 16 year olds are mature enough to deal with psychedelics, and some fuck themselves up completely. The flamingo was using LSD regularly at that age, but with hindsight, the experiences she gained as an adult (when she took LSD after a break, age 22ish) were far more valuable, spiritual and rewarding. These adult experiences enabled her to heal. Age 16 she was looking to get "fucked up", to escape from her feelings of inadequacy, insecurity and hideous body image issues. And "fucked up" she got: She used LSD in an extremely destructive and self-hating manner, very few of her teenage trips could be described as "fun". She experienced some incredibly dicey, frightening and extreme moments, in appalling settings, completely unprepared. She was almost raped on one occasion, was chased across some fields by the police on another, and was delivered back to her parents in utter disgrace on yet another! She is certain these youthful nightmares contributed to her depression, anxiety issues and eating disorders (all of which are now happily resolved, having taken LSD again as an adult, and achieving an extremely painful, difficult and cathartic breakthrough, with the aid of a trusted life-partner). LSD is something she now cherishes and reveres. Something that allows her to reach out, blend and meld with the universe, acieve utter satisfaction, bliss and oneness. So: Is LSD worth it? Yes. It made the flamingo the woman she is today. It forged her anew. Would the flamingo recommend the way she did it? Absolutely not. It almost broke her and contributed to some years of pain. Ego death is not something to be taken lightly. So enough of the confessional and back to the questions: Body weight is not everything with LSD. In fact there's an interesting thing here about the LSD induced death of a male asiatic elephant... http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41366 BTW: See you in 23 months, when you turn 18! |
