GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

Whenever SWIM uses GHB before bed time in doses 4-5 grams he always ends up in a very relaxed state which feels great, his body gets a bit numb and he enters in some kind of trance in which sexual imaginery is overwhelming to the poing of getting to obsessed to just let it go.

The funny thing is he doesn't care for sexual relieve, cause he feels so good he doesn't want to move, so he keeps his fantasies running for hours till effects wear off and then he can't sleep.

GHB doesn't put SWIM to sleep. It just makes him nod, and whenever he is about to fall asleep somehow something within his brain makes him wide awake, and the whole process repeat all over the night. SWIM doesn't feel tired next morning though.

When SWIM is nodding he sometimes thinks about redosing to fall asleep, but he never does cause as he said before, he is so comfortable he doesn't want to move

I'm not sure if you were trying to ask a question or just emitting random verbage about personal effects. However your story is indicative of how GHB got banned in the first place Happy trails.....

I was sharing SWIM's experience with this particular setting and GHB

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

Maybe SWIY's required dose is higher than the norm. There is a point for everyone where no amount of fighting GHB's sedating effects will prevent unconsciousness.

Sorry I was a bit mashed when I posted that. My comment about the 'random verbage' was just directed at the fact that GHB's effects are well-established and fairly uniform. It was still a bit rude.

With regards to the comment about why it became scheduled I was referring to your feelings of sexual arousal coupled by 'trance-like' states which at higher doses can lead to total blackout. The media jumped all over these effects as poor little "Janes" claimed it lead to them being date raped.

It really fucks me off when the "pro-drug" attitude blinds people to all or any negative consequences that drugs can have. I'm not gonna hijack this thread with my gurl's opinions / experiences, but have some respect dude.

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

For monkeys to learn:

http://users.lycaeum.org/~ghbfaq/complete.html
Quote:
Generally speaking, an aphrodisiac or sensitizing dose is between .5 and 1.5g, with the relaxing and stimulating effects coexisting with a light inebriation as one approaches 3g. Medical sources report soporific doses of 1.2-3g although the lower doses in this range are usually taken by subjects who are prepared to sleep, and there are definitely records of people remaining awake at these levels. Anything over 4g may reach into the "unarousable sleep" category and should not be approached without carefully probing your sensitivity to GHB beforehand, as discussed above.
Baboon is experienced and knows its dose very well and he tolerates well 5 grams, but this dose can render other monkeys unconciuss so proceed carefully. Just for the sake of harm reduction

Likewise it pisses me off when something with potential value becomes taboo because a few people decide to use it for evil. I guess the good suffer for the bad. GHB had long been used by the bodybuilding community to safely promote the release of growth hormone as an aid in anabolic development.

There is a trend in my country, at least, towards government increasely providing legislation to protect the citizens from anything deemed threatening. Rather than cultivating an atmosphere of personal responsibility.

Women know that the guys at 'meat market' clubs are there for just one thing-sex. It doesn't excuse date-rape but they should be aware of the facts. Sorry if I was unclear.

/beers

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

Swim has the same at a 3.5 ml dosage of GBL (Spaced over an hour). He tries to relieve sometimes, but just forget about it somehow and falls asleep. He has many dreams then, mostly sexual. Funny enough swim sometimes thinks he wakes up, but then he dreams he waked up, because something always is a bit wack. Maybe swiy has the same, but doesn't recognize it. Or maybe swim thinks he dreams...

He doesn't do it too often, because with swim it will affect sleep quality. But it is kinda fun.

Swim knows experimentally, swim can be wakened up. A bit difficult. He also doesn't experience nausea. His dose is settled after thorough experimentation with the substance. If he stays awake at this dosage, he sees images before his eyes. Not true OEV's, but they are clearly different from normal images he can get when concentrating. More like flashes. Swim is a weekly GBL user, so he has some tolerance going on. A while ago the maximum he would take was 3 ml spaced over an hour.

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

Put simply - use a different drug for sleeping. GHB clearly does not work for you.

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

Swim understands that, but nodding is nice once in a while. Sometimes one needs some sedation to keep ones mind sane. Not too often. Once a month maybe. It is a recreative use of the drug in this setting. GHB is a pro-sexual drug. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. Especially not, when used in a safe and consent manner.

GHB is not per definition a functional drugs. Swim doesn't have chronic sleeping problems (Sometimes he can't sleep then it seem to work as a charm. Lower dosages are needed then.).

Re: GHB for sleeping: The GHB nod

No arguements there, that sounds like responsible recreational use. I would be wary of regularly using GHB or lactone as a sedative due to the commonly reffered to 'dopamine rebound', which TBH to SWIM feels like raw GABA rebound, not a dopamine buzz.

But looks like i'd be preaching to the converted on that one
