Amphetamine To Methamphetamine

Swim knows how to make meth, but swim also has a big script for adderall. Swim was wondering if he could make methamphetamine from adderall?

My friend X has heard that it's possible, but a lot more difficult than converting Ephedrine / Pseudo-Ephedrine. She doesn't know anything more about it than the fact that it's possible, though.

Possible yes, but not worth it. It's not very hard to add that methyl group to pure amphetamine, but starting from pills would be a lot of work.

This thread belongs in the methamphetamine chemistry section, all threads about synths belong in the chemistry section, anyway. It can be made, but one doesn't get a full conversion, only 50% or so Id I'm not mistaken. One needs formaldehyde and Al/Hg, read this.
