OK, does anybody else get this...

Everytime I'm high, I find that although I drink a fair bit of water I don't need to pee. A few friends have suggested that when I'm out it's because I'm too pre-occupied or that I'm dancing so much that I sweat it out.

Well anyways, I came home early on the weekend cuz my friend wasn't feelin too great and we stayed at mine, smoking some weed and finished off the few pills we had left. We were up for about 4-5 hours, and I probably drank about 5 pints of water but I didn't pee!

I'm not that worried about it, but i get so bloated I tend to look about 6 months pregnant!

Anyways let me know if you get like this too, or if u have any suggestions on what I could drink to help.

See ya

MDMA releases ADH (Antidiuretic hormone) which makes you not have to pee. This makes it actually dangerous to drink too much water, as you can dilute your plasma too much and cause complications. They say to drink 1L of water every hour... but yeah. You can't pee because of the ADH being released.

yer "asystole " is right, ecstasy effects the kidny's, which stopes you
from pissing, so when you drink all that water, it has no where to go!
so it starts doing some bad stuff to you

Don't forget to eat some things rich in salts and minderals. Those get flushed out if you drink too much.

The fact that water can cause fatal overdoses is not well known. Often called "water intoxication" or "hyponatremia" (low salt)1, water poisoning results when too much water is ingested in too short a time without replenishing electrolytes, particularly sodium and potassium.

The human body (as with other animals) maintains an equilibrium of electrolytes in the bloodstream as part of its normal operation. Sweating causes the body to lose salt, but the primary cause of hyponatremia is drinking enormous amounts of water, which dilutes the salt in the body to a dangerous level. As the electrolyte levels get dangerously out of balance, body systems begin to fail and the sufferer exhibits signs of crisis such as diarrhea, over-salivation, stupor, vomiting, muscle tremors, confusion, frequent urination and other general symptoms of illness, and their brain begins to swell. This swelling is called a 'brain edema' or 'cerebral edema' and can lead to brain damage, paralysis, and sometimes death.

This is quite common for both male and female. Perhaps it is just due to what Asystole said. However, it does not happen every time so I don't know why MDMA releases ADH (Antidiuretic hormone) inconsitently.

SWIM had a very scary episode with not being able to urinate this past summer. She has a reputation for having to go to the bathroom often, especially when she has been drinking. One night, she had been pounding back beers, then took her E, and couldn't pee for 5 hours - 5 very painful hours of trying, sweating, hurting and being scared of her bladder exploding. Not pleasant.

im not sure i'd suggest that. like i said, when SWIM found herself unable to pee, she had a lot of alcohol in her, which is a diuretic. the booze only amplified the problem, creating more and more pressure and eventually pain in the bladder. the urine kept piling up but it had nowhere to go

Its really bad for the old ego when you can't pee. i mean, here's something that you've been doing longer than anything else, and if you can't do that, what can you do?

Hehe, funny read since I saw this happen all the time. Ya feel like ya gotta pee so u go, then nothing ( would consider it mildly aggravating but not scary). I have a friend that likes to drink gatorade while rolling, you get a better flavor and it has sodium. I remember reading that too much water thing, I can't believe some people thought they had to drink that much water and actually did it, drinking that amount of water has to make you feel sick and bloated before you even get hyponatremia. Wouldn't recommend the beer or any other alcohol before or during rolling, it is good to know yourself so drink less if you have this problem. Also I wouldn't think trying to push it for hours will help, you're gonna give yourself a friggin hernia or sumthin. Go do sumthin else for a while, can't imagine you're gonna have that much fun rolling in a bathroom, but stay close to one for when it does come.

Sometimes when SWIM takes MDMA SWIM can't seem to get SWIMs piss out. It
sometimes takes like 3 minutes for SWIM to pee. This usually seems
to happen when SWIM takes pure MDMA tabs, and usually doesn't happen with tabs
that have speed. SWIM hates the feeling because SWIM trys as hard as SWIM
can to pee but it just wont come out. SWIM know it kinda sounds
wierd but SWIM finds that rubbing your head will help you out.

When SWIM rolls it always feels like he can't pee because he can't
"relax" enough to let it flow freely. It's always a joke around
our friends when we go to the bathroom, we say "good luck!"
