Side effects - Euphoria or sleepy

As a result of ongoing pain Swim has been eating 10mg Percoset daily for the last 2 years. In those intervals when the pain eases Swim has experienced some euphoria ( feeling good) on 10 or 20 mg. Swim doesn't feel 5. Now there is a change. The feeling good part no longer happens, SWIM gets sleepy and falls asleep for several hours. Swim has tried grapefruit and tums with little result. Any suggestions on how to recapture the euphoria and cut down on the sleepeeiness? Perhaps raising the dose? Swim would appreciate any and all suggestions.

SWIY is probably building up a tolerance. There are two options: increase the dosage or cease use for about a week in order to let the tolerance drop.

The best way is to stop entirely or cut down on the dose for a while, increasing the dose will only necessitate increasing the dose further later down the road if SWIY is chasing euphoria.

increasing the dose probably won't even give a desired effect, as swiy is probably so used to the opiates feeling by now. It might only make swiy more sleepy...
