Drug info - Possible to create cocaine-like drug legally?

Swim wanted me to ask a question hear on the forums for him. So say you know that making something different from cocaine and ingesting it will NEVER create an exact coke high. Coke is coke. That aside, say that swiy is getting broke, or just want a break for a while...

Would it be possible to create a kind of cocaine act-a-like/look-a-like out of legal and available products? Clearly this product would be far from perfect by any deffinition and wouldn't produce anywhere near the great effects of the real thing... but perhaps for spending less money overall, or help with quitting?

My idea for a recipe would be to crush up some caffine pills, mix it with some lidocaine powder, and add a slight amount of moisture. This would create a cocaine look alike, that would excite the mind, and numb the desired body parts. Although nothing like actual coke, it would be something... thoughts? recipes?

To SWIM it sounds like you are asking for help with cutting cocaine, which is against the rules.

no nothing to do with cutting. a LEGAL substitute for people who may want help with easing themselves off the real thing. its not me its swim by the way. NOT CUTTING. LEGAL SUBSTITUTE. sorry if i am accidentally breaking the rules i really dont think this counts towards "cutting"

Swim believes cutting to be idiotic. Swim has no wish to cut in the first place, ask advice on how to cut, recook, repress, etc. Just looking to get closer to a legally produced stimulant mimicing cocaine.

I understand that this is a legitimate question, and am not accusing the O.P. of trying to sneak in a discussion on cutting techniques.
however, it'spretty clear that the info which might be given in this thread could also be used for such purposes, the keyword here is "mimicking".

but as a side note, if one is trying to reproduce a substance's effects to the point that even physical reactions such as the numbing effect is recreated, it is probably not a good sign. addiction mechanisms are complex, but it seems better to try to either try to instituate some form of control, or reorient cravings towards something else than to try to trick the mind into thinking "snorting" + "numbing" will ease the craving.
as for effects, swiyou's right in that it cannot be replicated, hasn't been anyway. some substances come close, but not quite.

anyway, commercial "legal substitutes" exists already, check in legal high section, so do alternative stimulants, that swiyou can read up on. Most of them are R.C. based, and one could say that most are quite dangerous as cocaine alternatives, especially if addiction mechanisms come into play, due to dosage and unknown toxicity issues.
