Vivid dreams from opiates?

My Ferret very rarely has vivid dreams, and often doesn't even remembers any of his dreams.
But he has found that on numerous occasions after consuming opiates he has had very vivid, interesting dreams.
Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Re: Vivid dreams from opiates?

SWIM used to experience this a long time ago... he remembers doing maybe a quarter of a 40mg oxy (insufflated) and just sitting back for about 30 minutes entering a dreamlike state... semi-conscious but in a dream state. This was the coollesst thingg. That was 8 years ago. Now SWIM is on maintenance and sure can't remember the last time he could get effects from 10mg oxy much less nod off into dreamland.

Re: Vivid dreams from opiates?

SWIM has for a while now had intense vivid dreams due to certain medications. But the start of all this happened when he took about 30mg oxycotnin, then a couple hours later took a melatonin supplement to help him sleep. It was the first time that he could clearly remember a vivid nightmare with such detail. SWIM doesn't know if it was the melatonin, or oxycodone. But it definately gave him vivid dreams.

Re: Vivid dreams from opiates?

This is one of the things that drew swim to opiates.A complete escape from reallity into a paradise of dreams. This was especially true when swim first started heroin. Some of those dreams were so vivid he remembers them to this day and this was almost ten years ago!

Re: Vivid dreams from opiates?

The best part is when you're still half-awake but dreaming (nodding).

swim one time had about 16 caps of chinawhite, and shot 12 of them (4 caps in each shot) in about 10 minutes (swim had a shitty day and wanted to get fucked up). He started to nod, and kept "dreaming" that he was doing the last 4 caps, then he'd wake up and remember he still had them. This went on for about an hour, till swim finally did the last 4 and passed out sitting in his chair.

As for dreams, swim has had some fucked up ones. Usually something to do with heroin. A long time ago, he was in rehab (going cold turkey) and every night he dreamt that he would acquire some H somehow, but everytime he trieed doing it, something would happen where he couldn't. He had these dreams every single night (28 days).
