How many pods necessary for a good "batch" of flake?

SWIM is planting some seeds tomorrow, the seeds will be planted in peat cups with rich soil. Half of whatever germinates will be transplanted outside for a mid-november planting. SWIM read that NOV/DEC planting allows the plant to establish good roots outside for a spring growth. Of course a second planting will also occur in Spring.

Half of the other sprouts will be grown indoors over winter down in the basement with a grow light. SWIM wants to know how many hours of light the plants will need growing in the basement?

Secondly, and to the title of this thread.. just guessing you get one pod per plant, how many pods would SWIY theorhetically like to have to collect some oozing sap from pod cuts?

For sake of argument, suppose SWIY or SWIM wanted say a baseball sized glob of raw O... is it safe to guess that the baseball sized raw O would cook down into a golf ball (1/4th of the raw O) sized ball of smokeable putty? And then further cooking of that golf ball down to flake might make a nickel sized ball of flake?

SWIM is thinking that a nickle sized ball of flake, or golf ball sized ball of good putty would last quite a while?

SWIM doesnt know how much raw O oozes from cuts.

How many pods would it take to make a baseball sized wad of raw O?

Is SWIM crazy to aim for a 3-4" ball of raw O?
