Withdrawal question

Generally, how long would one need to use opiates(assuming its everyday use) to experience withdrawal symptoms? SWIM asks because SWIM was recently given about 40 50mg tramadol tablets and has been using 150-200mgs everyday for the past week and a half. SWIM doesn't really feel the need to use them, but they are readily available so he uses them because he enjoys the experience. SWIM stopped for a day because he was worried he would get physically addicted and experience withdrawal, but SWIM felt no different when he stopped for that day.

Is this normal? Has SWIM simply not used tramadol long enough to experience withdrawal? Or perhaps it has to do with the fact that tramadol is structured different than other opiates? Thanks in advance!

Re: Withdrawal question

tramadol isn't an actual opiate, but I'm sure one could get withdrawls from it. 200mg isn't really that much, and a week and a half isn't long enough to experience withdrawls (even with heroin), so yes, it's normal.

Re: Withdrawal question

alright tremadol is an opiate and it will give you hella withdrawls, and anyone saying different is setting u up for a hellish path.

but anyway, im a opiate pill abuser, and what i can usauly get ahold of which is vikoden and tremadol, i notice wds will be mild the first day. get worse the second and get even worse the next few days before it begins to fall down.

basicaly i think that first day doesnt count i think it takes like 12-24 hours before the real wds even start

Re: Withdrawal question

also the amount you talking about using is exactley what i usauly would take and it will leave you addicted, i think it would prolly take 1-3 mo. of that kinda usage before you start gettign real wds, but dont play wit the fire cuz when it does cetch up too you ur got. and will be strugling for a long time.

Re: Withdrawal question

I really wouldn't think one could get bad withdrawals from tramadol. I mean yeah, you might feel rather anxious, tired and unable to sleep, but SWIMs experienced this with every drug after heavy use, even cannabis.

Yes it is very possible and likely to get addicted to tramadol and have withdrawals from it, but I would think only if used daily for a couple months in doses 600mg and up. Everyone's different though, I'm just saying that I know I wouldn't have very bad or noticeable withdrawals, but I've also experienced heroin withdrawals before, so it might just seem indifferent to me.

If swiy is only experiencing hydrocodone/tramadol withdrawals then swiy really hasn't seen just how nasty withdrawal can be.Count swiy lucky. That stuff is petty next to fentanyl, methadone,or heroin withdrawal.

Re: Withdrawal question

opiate withdraw is horrible, the thing about it is once a person has been hooked on opiates the length of time to get rehooked is much less than the initial time, and that never changes. swim has tried this after years of going without. so it all depends on your history of opiate use.
