8 Mg Codeine Pills

hi,

SWIY just picked up a bottle of some lame over the counter pain killers. the bottle contains 30 pills, and the pills consist of 300mg Acetaminophen, 15mg of caffein, and a wopping 8mg of codein. could SWIM do a CWE on these? and if so which would you recommend?

It would be possible to perform a cold water extraction on these pills, SWIY should simply crush them in a small amount of cold water and stir and then filter with a coffee filter.

What does SWIY mean in asking which is recommended?

It would not be worth it. The caffeine would remain in solution, and possibly enough acetaminophen (paracetamol) to cause toxicity.

Best leave 'em on the shelf for a headache or bruised elbow.

yeah... 8mg isn't shit for codeine. SWIM needs at least 150mg-250mg even to just barely feel it. even using all 30 pills would only be 240mg of codeine, and probably a shitload of apap and caffiene. CWE doesn't remove nearly all the apap out, so even if there was only 50mg of apap left, 50X30 is like 1.5grams. Also, cold water extracts will leave swiy with less of the opiate then started with, and since there is already so little of it, it probably wouldn't amount to very much codeine.

without a CWE, this would be like what, 9grams of APAP. A CWE probably wouldn't be toxic, it might contain up to like 2gs of apap though. It might be worth trying I guess.

It's true that a CWE doesn't remove all the APAP as it leaves behind an amount proportional to the amount of water remaining and inversely proprtional to the temperature. In other words, if one uses a small amount (up to 70ml) of cold water (4 degrees celsius, ie fridge temperature) they will end up with a level of APAP which is below toxic level. That's the whole idea of a CWE!

Unfortunately, Swiy will end up with a lot of caffeine which may ruin the experience. Some people don't mind the caffeine, some people hate it. Tell Swiy to make up their own mind.

Of course, this has only been covered about a thousand times before.

In Canada T1 is OTC obtained easilly in packs of 100 w/8mg codeine. CWE works very well, in fact SWIM does a CWE on 10-20 pills then pops some pills for the added analgesia of acetaminophen (well more out of laziness) the caffeine is no biggie, probably the worst is when people chug the water which contains about as much as a cup or two of coffee (you wouldnt chug coffee would you?) If you drink it slowly it wont absorb as fast and you wont get all racy. Overall SWIM really likes CWE for T1s. Codeine is a VERY nice buzz definitely better than weed in SWIMs opinion.

if you cant get T3s, like my neighbor's dog, T1 are a cheap thing to get in Canada, where he lives , and you can get codeine from it. Drink it slowly, it'll be nice

SWIM was led to believe that an efficient CWE extraction of even 30-40 paracetamol/codeine pills (500mg/8mg) would be perfectly safe? Just when SWIM gets confident in the whole process something like this comes up!

In theory if one was to use only say 60ml of water surely the amount of acetaminophen would be below the toxic level? so long as the solution was cold, and had no suspended solids?

My ferret used to use pills similar to that for his cwe, the first few times, but found that the amount of caffeine really took away from the codeine experience.

EDIT: I realize that theory and practice have very different results, especially without proper lab grade filters!

This is true in both theory and practice.

Tortoise's uncle's dog did an experiment where he dissolved 40 capsules worth of pure paracetamol (from the plastic tablets that you can open with the paracetamol powder inside) into 90 mls of water, got it down to 4 degrees celius and did a cold water extraction exactly as he would typically do with codeine containg pills. He ended up with about 80mls of slightly cloudy water which he boiled down/evaporated to reveal only about 600mg-900mg of powder, ie paracetamol. This is no mean feat for a dog!

It would be safe. As long as: not too much water was used
there were no suspended solids in the final solution

yesssssssssssss, SWIM finally decided to go with it, on a bottle of 50 pills. did the CWE a couple times to insure it was pure as possible.. downed a bottle of grapefruit juice. then the solution (all of it) and then another half bottle of grapefruit juice. and SWIM was flying high. especailly after a couple cig's. good times! it works! didn't even notice the caffein.

glad it was a success. Re the grape fruit juice, in swims experience its more effective to drink it maybe 1-2hrs before the codeine rather that right before!
