Experiences - incredible hearing on LSD? or was it lsd?

swims friends both got a 10 strip a piece and it was on white paper..swims friend gave him one hit..when they were obtained and examined swims friend said he thought it was just ink on paper...we decided to try it anyway and it had a strong bitter taste to it...both of swims friends and swim all said it was really bitter..

swim was at a club before takin the hit and left to go to a house party which turned out to be pretty shitty to take his hit...for the 2 hours or so swim was at the party swim only noticed that he was wide awake when previously slightly tired and somewhat talkative but at the same time didnt want to be bothered...random people approaching swim made him not want to talk but swim was very chatty with the people there he knew..

while at the party swim went to his car to grab a cd because the dj was terrible..a crackhead approached swim and wanted a light..swim gave him the light and then the crackhead acted like he was upset or something and reached into his back pocket and swim totally freaked out for a second...swims heartrate went up really high and swim took off running fearing the crackie was going to pull a knife or something....that was very weird..kinda like a fight or flight moment or w/e

anyway swim and his pals bounced and headed home to get high....the whole ride home swim felt pretty much sober...when swim got to his friends house and smoked..the "trip" started to kick in but kinda didnt....anyway swim and his other friend were chiling listening to music and swims other friend went to the bathroom...swim and his friend both heard their friend pissing extremely loud as if swim were in the bathroom and the bathroom is all the way down the hall..swim could hear the refridgeator running when that too is far from the living room....swim went outside and could hear the neighbors dog breathing who was probably 30-40 ft away..and he's not a loud breather or anything..swim pumped gas around 3am and could hear the sound of the gas coming through the hose was very loud to swim...and there's more but im not going to list them..

i know lsd messes with your senses but swim was hearing things from far distances and that swim had never heard/noticed before...like with the bathroom instance..even with the door open (which he had shut) swim still never can hear the pee actually hittin the toilet or w/e...swim noticed no visual affects, no tracers, no glowing or w/e....didnt even seem like lsd to me, and was very different from my first experience....i know this is long and pretty much about nothing but do u guys think i had something else or does LSD really increase your hearing that much?

oh yeah and it took about 2 hours for swim to feel anything from the hit...the same goes for a different friend who was at the party and went to his own crib..he took 3 hits the same time swim took his 1 and said when he got home 2 hours later he was tripping balls but that was his first time ever tripping

It is quite possible that this was one of the DOx chemicals, not LSD. The DOx chemicals are known to taste quite bitter and take 2-3 hours to kick in, while LSD usually has no discernible taste and will have alerts sooner.

LSD does indeed give you highented senses, including strong hearing. SWIM dropped L this weekend in town and he could hear these bagpipes for miles before he saw them. SWIM hates the bagpipes; what an awful instrument.

Sometimes one will hear sounds and confuse where they are coming from, which makes it seem like they could be far away. Annoying sounds especially will stick out like nails and could easily cause a trip to become, not bad, but rather a little intense.

SWIM dropped and noticed that their hearing got worse. SWIM was playing some Umphrey's McGee in the middle of the night so loud that it woke other people, just for SWIM to hear it normally. SWIM has listened to that show many times and never has to listen to it as loud as SWIM had to that night.

quite sure swiyou ingested a DOx chemical, not LSD

sounds like DOI from swim's experience... it seems to induce those 'fight or flight' feelings in swim sometimes. and the hearing thing is common on DOx and LSD but by the 2 hour come-up and the taste makes it very very doubtful it was our good friend lucy

swim assumes the experience was a long one... maybe 10+ hours?

The Flamingo sometimes experiences hyperacusis on LSD.

NOTHING though is like the experience she had once with 2C-I, where her hearing was so exquisitely sensitive it was almost painful.

Add in the background tinnitus she normally suffers from and the result was an extremely unpleasant hearing/body loop which seemed to go on forever, and which generated significant nausea and anxiety

Swim is so glad to read this, because she had an almost identical experience on DOM, and she's had a very hard time explaining it to other people who took the substance with her and did not experience such effects.
