E Pills Not Having the Effect?

A friend of mine was telling me about his pilling experiences. I have never taken any drugs but find them interesting to talk about. He said he took his first one this summer in July, just one and even though the effects weren't long lasting he felt the euphoria, connectedness with everyone and so on. Then he said he took two pills at a rave he went to a few weeks ago but didn't get those same feelings. Then a week ago he went to another rave with three pills and the same thing happened - no euphoria, no lovey dovey feelings. And after both of these times, there was barely much of a comedown and no depression over the next few days.
I found what he told me interesting so I wanted to ask, is this normal? Has he already built up a tolerance just from the first time he pilled back in July? Is there anything he can take it with the next time to get the old feelings back? Or does he need to take more pills the next time?

the quality of ecstasy pills vary greatly. swim would estimate (swim is merely an e user and is not qualified to make accurate estimations) that 50% of pills in his area are completely fake, containing unnoticeable amounts of any active ingredient. Another 25% he would estimate are not even worth consuming because they contain various less desirable ingredients such as methamphetamine. this leaves less than 25% that are quality pills. now this is not true for every part of the country/world, but it helps explain how hard it is to find quality mdma. your friend did not build up a tolerance, he just got bunk pills, which obviously is very common. swims's advice: invest in a testing kit.

GOOD ADVICE!! Some people get off on the mystery of what was in the pill they just took. Swim get his kicks by the exact opposite, knowing exactly what was in that pill.

Testing, testing testing. And always ask for samples. And if you got the right pill, make sure you buy enough. You can keep pills for months.

Swim agrees to testing. Unfortunately your friend probably had bunk pills. My friend says fortunately for your friend, he didn't get PMA.
