A very important suboxone question
Tomorrow morning swim starts suboxone maintenance, however Friday night swim took 20 mg's of methadone.Should this be a long enough wait?Swim is already starting to feel sick. The suboxone won't make swim sick due to the methadone he took on Friday he hopes.

Re: A very important suboxone question
As a Methadone to Suboxone switcher I made the mistake of using Suboxone 24 hours after using Methadone. Worst withdrawals imaginable. SWIM suggests that SWIY waits until SWIY is feeling PRETTY shitty, not deathy bad... but bad until SWIY goes for the Suboxone. SWIM just hopes SWIY isn't going into a situation in which the Doc will
A. Test you for opiates and see that the Methadone is still very prevalent. or B. Make you take your first dose in front of him or other staff. If SWIY isn't in a situation like this SWIM suggests waiting as long as possible. |
