5-MeO-DET trip reports

This one is soon coming up on the lists of banned chems. I was lucky to
test it.. and unlycky to get somewhat dissapointed. Still this is
better than nutmeg and datura.



What they say in Tihkal is what I experienced. Let me tell you how I felt.



There is 100mg in my bag, I tried to eyeball 1-2mg with a knife
straight from the bag. No fancy tricks. So you may imagine how much I
have taken, myself I imagine I took 1-3mg.. closer to 1mg than 3mg.
There was 5cm of powder in the bag.. that makes 1mm worth about 2mg..
so I tried to take half of the 'height' of the 1mm with my knife...
blah blah.. (I do not reccomend eyeballing.)



So.. the experience?? I have done this twice. One oral.. one snort..



It felt like being drunk, had the dizziness of drunk, but without the
mood change. Just think of dizziness from drunk.. not the one that
makes you feel sick and puke when the whole world is rotating.. just
the lighter form of dissiness. Also there is a weak visual
distortion.. vision seem to wobble a little sometimes.. lips feel
different, i think the erotic is in the lips.. some kind of tingling
numness.. nothing else seemed sexual.. i got warm as with amt, so i had
to take of my shirt.. the warmth could come and go in very slow waves.
There was no party feeling, I was quite neutral. After some 4 h I
wanted to sleep.. when I woke up, I felt different... but there was
still something in me. 5-MeO-DET seem to have after effects that lasts
12h or more.



The first time I drank the chem.. it tastes bad. Quite strong, for
beeing ~1mg in a glass of water. The water in my stomach gave me
nausea.. after a while it dissapeared, when I drank more water, I felt
nausea in the stomach again, I could have puked this water up, but
didn't. This nausea lasted a bit over 1h. The second time I insufflated
the powder and didn't then feel this nausea, also there were less after
effects. The aftereffects reminded a little I got from mushrooms, it
was on my skin.. and I had a specific taste in my mouth.. there was a
similar smell too.. like the mushroom flavour one mixes with the
noodles. The second time there was some noise in my ears.. a weak
breeze that reminded me of the one I have had from caffeine. It came,
and left randomly.



1-2mg seem to be quite weak, but one does get stoned. There isn't much
fun with this drug. 2nd time I was more "stable" than the first time. I
will explore a little further into this. But before that, I have to
test some 5-MeO-MiPT.

OK, explored further into this... Took my 3rd and last time of
5-MeO-DET. Insufflated what I think was 6mg. I felt sick.. and after 1h
I tried to puke.. so did I.. red puke.. why red?? There was nothing
good with this chemical. Made me feel i'll and I was much less dizzy
than before. Nobody at the dinner knew what I have done. Eyes not
dillated, and has never been from this white powder.

there is only 1 trip report on erowid for this 1 does anyone have any experiences or trip reports to share?.it sounds like an interesting compound from the thikal report

5-Meo-DET has been discussed here before. Have you tried the Search engine? Anyway the general consensus is that this one should be avoided like the plague. Structurally it looks as though it would be interesting and quite active. And it is - if one likes tinnitus and feelings of impending doom. It was tried once and thrown away by most who had opportunity.

yeah from what is available on this one it really seems most unpleasant and like something that has a high possibility for neurotoxicity or some oether bad shit... there may not be any documentation of smoking it... if one were to be feeling bold that would be something new... then again that information is off the top and it may not be accurate... it could be right in the tihkal reports... will check and edit where necessary

whats the matter dont you like hospitals LMFAO?

why is this chem on the market if its effects are so downright nasty?,there must be some researchers out there with some kind of use for it.possibly it is an easy chem to convert into a more interesting one?,or be used as a precusor to make something completly different

I can't believe any vendor still sells this crud! Ack! Blech phooey! Years ago, I knew a midget Zimbabwean who ingested some small sample dissolved in water and reported yes.. the vague dizziness and nothing more.

Ah the hope.. and subsequent disappointment...

Swim has just tried this compound and gives it 2 stars. Not very exciting compound. Swim felt that 5meo effects but that was about it. Not very psychedalic, just a waste of time in the opinion of this swim. A swim will feel buzzed on 5meo-det, but it is a mild one.

SWIM has read that low doses have some potential but has never wanted to acquire any given the bad rep. Has anyone had any positive effects from this ?

My monkey found that when he tried 1.25mgs of DOC on the comedown he took 8mgs of 5-meo-det and it complimented it well. It actually relaxed him a bit and enhanced the visuals a bit. Another monkey took 30mgs of 5-meo-det and said that was too much.

At three times the dose described as a "torture psychedelic" that would be expected. SWIY should be more careful with that monkey, don't be the Micheal Vick of primate researchers.

Given the predominantly negative reviews, SWIM would be interested to hear about a positive one...
