Its sorta fucked up,but when my friend was a full on junkie he didn't really give a fuck about sex.Sex was always a very big part of who he was.He had to resort to Cialis just to throw the wife off his trail of lies and deceit.

Now that he's clean, sex has once again become a major priority in his life.And he now can honestly say that the equipment works fine w/o having to resort to another medication.

Voting drugs on this. I've talked to people who have gone without sex plenty. The people I've talked to have never really tried going without drugs though. I don't have any idea how long these people _can_ go without sex. Presumably the rest of their lives, or however long it takes for them to find a date. But the longest these individuals have gone without is somewhat more than 2 years. If you don't count the first bit, which lasted a lot longer. Longest without drugs, maybe a few weeks? Three months? Less than that probably, if social drugs like coffee, alcohol, cannabis count.

Of course the real answer is "how about both."

And on the other hand "they both make life a mess, how about neither."

Those people don't on the whole agree with the poster who says orgasms are always the same. Every session is a little bit different! It's the variations that make it interesting, the way we play themes with our bodies and lives. The same can be said for drugs, really. On the whole everything is the same - but it's the differences that are important.

Although some of the people I asked about this said they would probably give up sex if it were a prerequisite for a constant supply of and the ability to legally dispense psychedelics. Fortunately that doesn't seem to be a prerequisite to this scenario. Unfortunately that doesn't seem likely to happen in any circumstances, sex or no sex.

And now a different person is telling me "sex" is the right answer and the other people said "drugs" just because they haven't had sex in too long and they've forgotten. Gosh everyone I talk to has a different opinion.

I guess it's a complicated question.

when originaly this was just a thread to ask what if you could just have one choice as far sex or drugs were conserned, but now let me ask do you think that by choosing one we limit ourselves to the other. the more drugs the less sex, or the more sex the less drugs?

For SWIM drugs make sex more likely. If he could find something that at low doses reduced sex drive and the like he would be happy, though he'll have to wait a bit even if he does because of other circumstances. *grumbles*

SWIM could tomorrow never take another drug again for the rest of their life. The same couldn't be said for sex.

Should be noted that SWIM only uses drugs to heighten their appreciation of special events such as gigs, festivals, big nights out/parties with likeminded people. It is not something SWIM uses on a daily or weekly basis; it is a special treat that is used sparingly.

you bring up a good point, sometimes it is non an option, when the other half of the relationship is incapacitated , the option of sex is no longer available, changes in life's playbook .

btdta must have a real relationship before he can even really get excited about being with someone, unless she is good at oral and wants to help a brother out. I have big big respect for girls ( women ) like that, us men need the release, and there are a lot of times , the bed is empty and we have a full load that is still in need of deposit.

I once went an entire summer without masturbating (without sex of any sort as well). up until two weeks ago I would have told you I hated sex and have yet to experience something worth repeating.
