Fresh Peruvian Torch

I have just acquired some fresh peruvian torch and I know that is the real torch, but I am curious, since I have not found any postings on the dosage of fresh peruvian torch--how many inches of fresh peruvian torch should be used for a STRONG trip? I am so curious since there is not much information regarding FRESH peruvian torch.

P.S.- A guy on erowid claims that he has always had a stronger trip from PT and says that six inches of fresh PT is approximately equivalent to 2-3' (feet) of fresh San Pedro. Honestly, I have not had the greatest success with a foot of San Pedro; moreover, there was nothing but a few visuals and a great body high.

SWIM can't seem to find any information regarding FRESH, only dry or powder.

This page on Erowid gives information regarding fresh dosage, stating that "one source suggests that a good starting dosage for San Pedro is about 1 pound (about 450gm ), or about 45 gm dry. They also stated that a larger dosage would be much more desirable after mescaline content has been established." The page also seems to show that San Pedro is 37.5% the strength of Peruvian Torch, so to convert SP dosage to PT, divide by three. This gives a fresh dosage of about 150g.

Cacti stems are over 90% water (similar to mushrooms) I think, so the fresh dosage could also be approximated by multiplying the dry weight by nine or ten. That said, one should be very careful about this method of measuring.

The trip as described by SWIY - with a foot of San Pedro - would become much more intense by doubling or tripling it like mentioned.

SWIM would do at least a couple feet of a nice thick specimen.. Note that he eats a gram or more of pure mescaline HCl for a decent experience, though.. Also, as with any plant, potency can vary widely, so a cautious first attempt on an unknown specimen may be a wiser choice for the inexperienced..
