Harm Reduction - Help minimize erroneous info by proofreading RC threads.

As some of you may have noticed, Alfa is trying to make some major changes in the RC forum. In particular we are trying to make two threads for every research chemical. One where people post their experiences and another where information about these drugs are compiled. Currently I have been making many of these threads, but it is very important the information we compile here is correct and all the links within the threads are working and linking to the correct page.

Here are two examples of these threads:

Drug info - Aleph-7
Experiences - Aleph-7 experiences

In particular these things need to be checked:

• Title & Prefixes
  Is the drug-info prefix with the drug-info thread? Likewise for the experiences. Is the name of the drug in the title correct (i.e. is it really the chemical that has information posted about it?)
• Example Dose & duration
  Is the example dose & duration listed in quotes like this?

  These two threads should link to eachother, is this link working? Is it linking to the correct thread, or did we mess up and they got crosslinked?
  These two threads should link to a search for in the file archive for that particular drug, is this link working? Is the search term right?
• Name and Molecule
  The drug info thread should have Shulgin's names (including shorthand), as well as the IUPAC name, does it? Look at the molecule, is the structure right(if you know what you're looking at)? Is the name on the molecule picture correct for both the molecule pictured and the actual thread itself (ex, i accidently stuck the 2ct-7 molecule in 2ct-2 and Alfa caught it for me).

When I make these new threads, I try to go through and make sure all of this is there; but there are a TON to be made and i am sure i am going to miss some information. So I am asking for help from D-F members, if you see something wrong in these threads, please post it here so it can be fixed. Actually going through each thread and making sure all of this is good, but I am already doing that and do not expect people to invest this kind of time (particularly since someone else already is). I am simply asking people to keep an eye out and maybe check out a couple of these things everynow and then.

I have began to use the dose and duration from pihkal/tihkal instead of the generic one to avoid confusion as you had seem to want.

If I see one of your experience threads that is not practicing this I will notify you here and go ahead and post the example. I will only do this if it is not quoting these I mean, if you are not using the pihkal/tihkal or other known dose and duration of the drug you probably have a reason for it.

Thank you to all the members that have pointed out some of the errors in these threads. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I respectfully request that these errors be posted here, while posting them in the thread they were found is useful, it opens up the chance of this post not being read by anyone that can change the erroneous information. If people post it here I promise I will read all these posts and take the neccesary steps to have the information corrected, whether this is fixing it myself or informing Alfa, the poster, or the RC mod if one exists.

Also, I think it is important that erroneous information in an area such as this is minimized as much as possible. Do you think we could make this a sticky? If not permanently then at least until our little project is near completion.

How about citing the source for the original posts in drug info threads (PIHKAL, TIHKAL, etc.)?

Another interesting thing to do would be posting links to files in the archive about the particular RC to provide scientific info.

On the tryp table the link for GANESHA does not work. Also, the AMT drug info line reads as follows:

As for the multiple threads for the DI (drug info) thread the plan is to eventually merge these.
