Do drug tests differenciate between different kinds of benzos?

SWIM is probably going to have to pass a drug test. SWIM has a prescription for xanax, so it's unlikely that, even if she tests positive for benzos she's gonna have any problem. However, SWIM is also taking other benzos for which she doesn't have a prescription. SWIM would like to know if the drug test is likely to give information about the kind of benzo she's taking or if the test will just test positive for benzos, without giving information on what kind of benzodiazepine she has tested positive for. For instance, if she takes diazepam or lorazepam instead of xanax, would the test be able to tell the difference?

This little bird I know used to get tested for court with a 9 strip.. With simple drug tests it will not differentiate.

No the test will not determine which benzo SWIY has been taking. I assume ALL benzos have at least one same metabolite that the test can pick up.

Getting off the benzodiazepines - aside from those prescribed by a competent doctor, would be my first concern. Benzo addiction sneaks up and nails you in as little as two weeks - and thats with a prescription. Talk to your monkey's doctor, then worry about the piss-test.

SWIY needs to be withdrawn slowly from the alprazolam, read the ashton manual. I would post the link but it has a forum in it.
