Howdy!
Swim is currently working out but needs some extra boost if you know what he means. If not, He means he needs an extra "spark" that will help aid his metabolism and give him more energy during the day. There are tons of formulas on the market today but thought he,d post in these forums to see if anyone has actually found any that work! Let's hear your opinions on some of the formulas out there and how you liked/disliked them. Swim is looking for energy, metabolism boost, hunger depressant. Anyone? 5HTP. I'm taking three doses of it a day for serotonin related reasons, and one of the side effects is it makes you lose weight, it makes you eat smaller portions but gives you energy also. If you do a search on it on google you'll find tonnes of info on it. Its a very useful supplement I've found. start out with 50mg three times a day a half hour before meals and work up to 100 at the most. I don't think your supposed to stay on it for longer than a couple of months though. I find its better than ephredrine because it makes you weak and dizzy I find, and pretty much stops your appetite instead of curbing it (which sounds good until you pass out on a pavement somewhere).

5htp as a daily supplement is not good. Your body will get lazy in making it's own, which can lead to depression. Further I do not see 5-htp as a stimulant.

Swim found this one: Thermadrol
Do a search and review this product. This might be something that Swim is looking for. And Swim knows, there is no substitute for hard work and eating right so no preaching! (just kidding) He is just looking for more ammo if you know what he means... Your comments on this product would be helpful. Thanks again! p.s. Swim wants to avoid harmful products if at all possible. Losing weight is very important to him but his health is also. Some of the products out there are not good and can cause more harm than good. Looking at the ingredients, it is a product that will not strain your health, but will also be mild. With choosing such product you have to choose between health and speed of losing fat. A strong fatburner will not be very unhealthy but also not good for you. The healthy ways of loosing fat do not include 'ammo'. Personally I would go for a ephedrine based product. This will surely give effect. It will increase blood presure and heartrate, so if that's a problem don't.

Your body doesnt get lazy at making serotonin as far as I'm concerned. Its nothing more than an amino acid found in plenty of foods. I've been recommended it for depression and its about the only thing that has helped, and there's a good deal of evidence to support its use for weight loss also. As far as I'm concerned ephedra is a much more harmful supplement. |

Hey CrazyCueman, Not being able to lose weight is normally a problem with ones diet. I'm a competitive bodybuilder, so I know a thing or two about losing and gaining weight. Do you know what your bodyfat percentage is? Unless you are below 12%bf, you don't need any stimulants to lose weight, you need to learn the proper cardio regimen to follow as well as certain foods to eat which will aid you in losing weight. I would be willing to help you with all this if you want. If you are looking for products which are used for weight loss though, there are many of them out there, but basically contain most of what was said up above. Ephedrine is good, even better when stacked with Aspirin and Caffeine. Personally, I hate ephedrine because it stays in my system too long and over the course of a few weeks I end up becoming an insomniac. I do prefer Beta Antagonists for weight loss though, or a safer method (when you know how to use them properly) is thyroid medications. I wouldn't advise you to start any of these though unless you have a very thorough understanding of your body and what these things do to you. If you want some help though, holla back... Derek |

i used to weight 227 now im a cut 156. Started eating healthier, reducing portion size, no more regular sodas (only diet now), and ~ 7 miles of running per day. You cant go wrong and after you get started the fat just falls off. Nothing beats the satisfaction and safetyof losing weight through discipline in the kitchen and the gym. Sweat your fat off, in the end its more rewarding to know you earned that six pack stomach
