Fun On Alcohol
This may seem silly, but it tends to slip my mind that Alcohol is a Psychoactive drug (albeit a toxic one!), and I was wondering if there are actually any fun things to do while drunk?
I was thinking of this more in terms of a in-depth look into the Alcohol "experience". Here's what I propose. Ingredients 1 willing Space Monkey 35cl Vodka @ 37.5% ABV 1 bedroom 12 hours Method Space monkey drinks the Vodka. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Does anybody have any ideas what said Space Monkey could possibly do to ENJOY being drunk alone? I was just wondering, because I've never really thought of any FUN things on Alcohol. I assume there must be SOMETHING one could enjoy? |

Re: Fun On Alcohol
SWIM is not sure how enjoyable drinking alone is supposed to be... alcohol has always seemed like a very social drug to SWIM.

Re: Fun On Alcohol
swia has a great deal of fun with drink in general providing she has eaten something before hand, she'll drink and drink. She likes to write things down that come into her mind talk endless nonsense with partner. She never gets sick and seems to always help her relax when used in the right setting even to excess. before she goes to bed she has a glass of water, to help hydrate and eat a vitamin pill. if she feels shes about to pass out she will lay down on her side to prevent herself from vomiting while laying normally in case she feels she might be sick.
The only problem lies when she drinks when shes feeling low (which is silly as its a depressant) Or has mixed drinks which tends to make her unpredictable in a dim dark violent manner everything is tossed aside then. |

Re: Fun On Alcohol
I have often drunk alone - I tend to find that larger amounts are required because the intoxication you are seeking is deeper than that which is socially acceptable. Obviously music is a must - try putting you iPod or whatever you have onto something like "Zoo York" by Paul Oakenfold and walking through your town/city. British cities on a cold night can be majestic, especially when accompanied by an atmospheric tune - nicotine lamp lights reflect in puddles, the sky is never dark but always shot with faint purple or blue, staring out across water or walking through a mid-city park is enjoyable, just make sure that you can find you way home and that you don't have any valuables on you that you don't need (it may be worth bringing a cheaper mp3 player depending on how dangerous the streets are where you live) admittedly it's not a massively safe idea but it can be amazingly beautiful. If you don't want to do this then try getting hammered and watching American Dad, Family Guy or what ever non-cerebral comedy you like - I say non-cerebral because I normally love Yes Minister but when drunk it loses a lot of its allure. Almost all of the common comedy programmes can be watched on-line for free.
You can save money by not eating before you drink, but you will find the intoxication uneven and you will get that horrible hard liquor taste in the back of your throat even the day after - that might be something unique to me but it's not massively pleasant. |

Re: Fun On Alcohol
Oh you want fun with alcohol do you? Try this lil' nugget!
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Man attacks inflatable ghosts, pumpkin October 12, 2007 LLOYD, N.Y. --A woman says a neighbor attacked her inflatable Halloween lawn display of three ghosts and a giant pumpkin, then apparently smashed his head through her window in a fit of rage. State Police said officers found a drunken John Odee, 43, inside Dawn Garcia's house in the Hudson Valley town of Lloyd on Thursday night, arrested him after a brief struggle and charged him with burglary. Garcia told the Middletown Times Herald-Record she heard hollering and swearing and looked outside to see Odee struggling with the giant pumpkin. "He was enraged. I could see that," she said. When she yelled at him to go away, Odee charged the house. She fled through the back door with three of her children and heard window glass breaking. She called 911 from another neighbor's house. Police said Odee used his head to smash a window to get in. "What made him do that, I don't know," Garcia said. "We had the same decoration up last year and it didn't bother him." Odee was being held at Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail Friday night. A corrections officer said inmates could not come to the phone. The officer did not know if Odee had an attorney. Lloyd is about 90 miles north of New York City. |

Re: Fun On Alcohol
lol ^^ This why sometimes swia likes to drink alone despite worried friends opinions. Swia enjoys the delightful drunken intoxication even to that point when sense and reason disappear.

Re: Fun On Alcohol
You could try your hand at writing under the influence. Walk down that well-trod path of Hemingway, London, etc--though in SWIM's case with a total absense of talent. It helps SWIM be original, though it usually requires copious editing the next day.
Also, sex can be fun, if the dose is sized appropriately. SWIM finds it especially helpful for easing the self-consciousness that sometimes mars sex with a new partner. |

Re: Fun On Alcohol
Bongo discovered a 34.5 when his partner had drank a 5th of Vodka. It started out as a 69. When she passed out: Behold! The 34.5 was born!
