Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

Hi, SWIM recently ordered 100 mg of two different RCs from a certain supplier. SWIM is aware that a milligram scale is the best way to go, but is considering other options, namely water measurement (a graduated cylinder is way cheaper than an mg scale, especially since SWIM wouldn't use it much) SWIM's question is this: what is the likely weight of "100 mg" from a typical supplier? Of course you can't know for sure, but in terms of an upper bound, how sure can SWIM be that he's getting say, definitely less than 150 mg? Definitely less than 200 mg? SWIM's thinking right now is to assume he's getting 200mg and measure a low/mild dose the first time, then adjust future doses as necessary. Is there any way SWIM could actually be getting more than 200 mg, or should SWIM assume he's getting more like 400 mg for safety's sake? Thanks for your opinions. (By the way, this is my first post on this forum... yay!) The RCs in question are 4-AcO-DMT and 2C-E if anyone's interested.

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

There have been numerous cases of vendors sending MUCH more than ordered. SWIM is playing a dangerous game by being a cheapskate. Buy a scale!

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

I suppose SWIM could just get a crappy scale like a J Precision 10, and weigh the whole amount and then round up to get a safe upper bound... would this be good enough?

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

Sounds like SWIY is just trying to rationalize something that is generally unsafe. If SWIY has the money to be buying these research chemicals, SWIY has the money for a proper scale.

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

with 4-aco-dmt and 2c-e overdosing should not be too dangerous. These substances are fairly safe even with higher doses. This is assuming the vendor actually sent swiy what swiy ordered.

generally suppliers weigh out around what swiy ordered. If they accidentally through an extra 25 mg's or so they arent going to scrape it off the scale for convenience sake. If a supplier is offering 100 mg's they likely are not dealing with as much weight, meaning they are probably more likely to weigh closer to the 100 mg mark.

It is important to get a scale, but if swiy is restless it would be fairly safe to dilute in water and take a fifth of it as a dose or so. with these chemicals swim has observed dosing around and above 50 mg's. swiy may want to split the solution into 10 parts, try one tenth wait a few hours then swig another tenth if the effects are not strong enough.

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

SWIM has owned a JPrecision 10 for two years and only paid $80 for it and it has done just fine and is accurate to atleast 5mg, it's usually accurate within 1-2mg.

Re: Reliability of supplier-reported RC weights

Personally, I have never gotten more than ordered

But it's a risky gamble to assume anything relating to weight when it comes to research chemicals...

What's worth more? Your health/life? Or a couple hundred bucks for a scale?

I'd hope that research chemical suppliers would use a better scale than you do.
